I have had the pleasure and luck to have been around dogs all of my life and I see the chance to care for and to interact with dogs a gift, the payment for which is an extra cherry on top. Growing up in California, I was raised with a Jack Russell Terrier named Roxy. Although she was a handful, I not only enjoyed every second that I had with her but I also gained a great deal of experience with dog care, especially in dealing with dogs that are difficult to manage (but not difficult to love!). In New York City today, I currently care for my friend’s dog, a pit bull aptly named Fruit Loops, when she is out of town. Although he is a handful as well, I thoroughly enjoy walking and caring for him, as I would, and do, for any and all dogs, which I believe are owed more love and respect than we mere humans can offer.
