I'll be your dog's quirky uncle!

Pet care experience

I have been a dog owner for the last seventeen years and the go-to pup-watcher for dozens of friends over the years. From Sansa the one-year-old St Bernard to Moe the geriatric Yorkie-poo I have experience caring for all kinds of dogs and a love for each and every one. I work a standard 9-5 job but have substantial flexibility for pre-work, post-work, and lunchtime visits for feedings, walks, and potty time. I live downtown but can easily travel to the farthest flung parts of the Greater Rochester Area to provide attentive care to a beloved member of your family. My own rescue mix, Harper, is going on seven and is the apple of my and my fiancee's eye. I'm a responsible-yet-energetic caretaker and can't wait to treat your dog as if he/she were my very own (but don't tell Harper that)!

Pat is a pet lover through and through, and has a special love for dogs. He currently has one dog, and we have trusted him to watch our two dogs (Giant St. Bernard/Newfoundland and a Yorkie) many times. He is responsible, and loves playing and giving attention to his canine friends. I cannot recommend him more to watch your pups.

Patrick is a responsible and loving dog-sitter. He will take amazing care of your four-legged friend and will treat them like one of his own. He has a true fondness for animals of all shapes and sizes and will keep your pet happy and healthy while you're away!

Information Patrick L. would like to know about your pet

When meeting a new dog I want to learn as much as I can. First and foremost I want to know how they interact with people (especially children) and other dogs. Our pup loves people but struggles with other dogs so that's a lifestyle with which I am well acquainted. From there I will want to learn their schedule and habits (are they food driven? do they counter-surf? do they NEED their favorite toy before they'll relax?). I want to know how to best keep your dog happy and comfortable. I won't be a substitute for their beloved mom or dad but I want to get as close to that as I can. I adore pit bulls of any shape and size but have experience caring for everything from a friend's Newfie/St Bernard mix to my parents' Yorkie-Poo.

A typical day

I'm happy to walk your pup in their most familiar neighborhood or to explore any of Rochester's wonderful parks. It's all up to you (and them)! I'm a fan of Highland and Ellison Parks but am most at home walking around my own Park Avenue neighborhood. If you're pup is happy in dog parks I'd love to facilitate play time there. If they're not great with other doggos we can play, wrestle, or just lounge around your own back yard.
