Dog's best friend

Pet care experience

I grew up on a farm in the South where we always had rabbits, horses, pigs, cats and other animals. All of our dogs were rescues, many of whom we personally found wandering or lost without a home. Since moving to Hermosa, I've pet-sitted for many friends, neighbors, and even my former boss. My apartment is cozy, but very safe. I am good friends with all of my neighbors, who all love animals. My next door neighbor has a small, friendly spaniel who drops by regularly. I work only a mile from my apartment, so I'm always nearby. Mostly all who know me consider me an attentive, gentle, and responsible lover of animals. I feel I'd be an excellent companion to your pet while you are gone. Why I love dog sitting I grew up on a farm where we always had from 5-8 dogs, among many other animals. Knowing this, many friends and acquaintances have asked me to take care of their dogs over the years. About my yard I live in an apartment complex that is entirely enclosed aside from the driveway, which I live farthest away from in the building. There's plenty of room to go down and quickly go to the bathroom. Also, I live a block from the dog trail, so I can take any pups down there very easily for long, safe walks if needed.

Patrick is a lovely gentleman and takes wonderful care of our large dog. He is dependable, responsive and professional. I was most impressed with the research he had done on our dog breed before meeting us for the first time; since he was unfamiliar with cane corsos, he looked up temperament, behaviors and what to expect before arriving! We have requested Patrick's services on multiple occasions and will continue to do so!

Patrick took excellent care of our dog Zoey. She was happy and well fed after her week with him. We enjoyed the picture updates showing Zoey going on long walks with new smells. She always looked happy in the photos! Patrick was very flexible about us bringing extra toys/dog beds the next time. Thanks again!

Patrick was fantastic. He was very accommodating and kept us frequently updated. It was evident our dog was in great hands and we look forward to repeating stays with him. Thanks Patrick!

Patrick is a really nice guy and kept me informed of everything he and Cookie did together. When I picked up cookie she was wearing a necklace she got at a 4th of July hang-out where she got tons of attention from everyone and got to hang out with another retriever! I am sure she had a blast! Thank you Patrick!!

Information Patrick K. would like to know about your pet

All I ask is that your dog be house-trained and decent on a leash. Also, a relatively quiet dog would be nice as I want to be considerate towards my neighbors.

A typical day

Here's where we'll take our walks Yes absolutely. I'm a very active, fit person and I like to go outside every day. The dog trail is nearby, and I often go with my friends to play frisbee golf for a few hours a week in very dog friendly parks. My friend often brings his dog along, so I can bring yours as well if you would like. Your dog's sleeping arrangement I don't do the dog-in-the-bed thing. I have a large space in the living room that includes both carpet and tile, or if the dog prefers he/she can sleep on the carpeted floor in my room. If there is a preferred crate/bed I can do that too. Time I'll spend with your dog I have a pretty light work schedule generally. I work at a restaurant 3-5 days a week in maximum six hour shifts. I ride my bike there, so it's very close. So the longest your dog would be left alone would be six hours, and I could take your dog for as many walks as you'd like.
