I offer a calm, positive environment for your dogs stay in my home. There is someone home throughout the day, so if your dog just likes to hang out and explore the yard that's how we'll spend the day. If your dog likes to be out and about we will take trips to the dog park, walk around town, or hike in the woods. I have experience with elderly dogs (two of my labs lived to 15- and 16-years-old), middle-aged dogs, and puppies. I volunteered as a young puppy socializer for over 4 years at Guiding Eyes for the Blind. This involved working with puppies from 1-7 weeks providing massage, socialization, and early training with positive reinforcement and play. I also provided some home socialization for 7-8 week old puppies. My dog, Otis, is a yellow Lab with very good manners and an affable way with other dogs so he is a good companion. He is especially good with puppies and older dogs. Puppies under 6 months or still house training will be crated at night to keep them safe and secure, and they will be supervised at all times. Regular updates will be sent along with photos and videos. I am available to sit on short notice for overnights in my home for previously established clients. I would like to meet your dog and have him or her for a half day prior to arranging boarding so that we can be sure it's the right fit for all of us as we want your pet to be relaxed and happy during their stay. I am available to house sit in your home as well for up to 3 nights. Unfortunately, I cannot stay with cats but all dog breeds and sizes are fine.
