My home has a 6’ privacy fence and is set up for dogs to feel that they are at their second home. All dogs coming into my home are fully screened and temperament tested. All vaccinations, recent negative fecal, and proof of preventatives are required before staying. I do provide puppy care in owner’s homes, but not in my home until they are fully vaccinated. I do stay pretty full with boarding, but I am looking to expand and add the service of in-your-home visits mid-day during the week for dogs that have to stay home all day while mom and dad work.

The foundation of amazing pet care is communication! I’m a big communicator when it comes to the care of your animals. I’ll ask you a dozen questions and expect the same of you :)
A typical day
wow, I don’t think any 2 days would be alike but I am a creature of habit just like pets are. I’m pretty laid back and let the dogs guide the way when it comes to their activities. Hot? Maybe kiddie pool. Bored? Fetch. Lonely? I got you. Scared? Where’s mom keep your feel good treats. In my home, I do not utilize crates. We are free roaming here. In your home, I’ll let you call the shots and let me know what would make your pet the happiest during my visit there.

Pet care experience
I started caring for dogs over 20 years ago when I was working with a vet in Colorado doing a pet nutrition study with her. She was just starting a doggie daycare and I fell in love with the whole concept. When I moved back home to Ocala in 2007 there were no dog friendly places like there were in Colorado so I decided to open an in home dog daycare. I’ve been doing that for the last 18 years. I have years of experience in dog nutrition, dog boarding and daycare as well working with dogs with special needs whether emotional or due to abuse. I have experience with many different health issues in dogs such as epilepsy, diabetes, megaesophagus, and more. I’m am qualified to give injections, medication, and specialized care for dogs recovering from surgeries, injuries, and physical disabilities. I also have experience with pregnant and nursing moms and their puppies.

Blue always has a great time. I never worry when he’s with you! Thank you!

Blue had a great time. Patti sent a lot of pictures and updates. She was always very responsive and easy to plan with. Thank you so much!!!!
Our dog Spencer spent quite a bit of time with Patti over the 17 years of his life. Patti became his second mom. We were able to go on vacation, leave the country and never worry about his care. He was in the best hands possible. Spencer required medicine all his life and special food. Patti always handled this with ease. We didn’t have to worry at all. He was always happy to see her and had a fun time during visits, whether for daycare, overnight or extended stay.
My dog has been spoiled by Patti for years, and she loves them as her own. She is a great person, trust-worthy and very responsible. My dog loves seeing Patti. A wonderful lady inside and out, and always the animals come first person, which I love ❤️.
