Pet care experience

My husband and I grew up loving dogs and, in fact, met through our pups. A real life case of puppy love! I grew up raising labs with my parents and through my work abroad have come to adopt two dogs of my own - Chance from Sudan and Mia from Colombia. My husband , David, studied veterinary medicine in Colombia where he has offers private dog training and runs a successful dog school (Gooddog Colegio Canino Campestre) for nearly 10 years. We hope to open a pet shop in MD soon. In the meantime, we hope to make more furry friends part of our extended family here and to save up for this dream to become a reality.

David and Patricia did a wonderful job taking care of our cat while we were out of town.

I just got back home after having boarded my dog with David and Patricia for over a week. She had a great time! She usually is in a bad mood after boarding, but she is very happy and healthy! They also did a great job of providing regular updates and pictures of my dog throughout her stay. Thanks so much! 😄😄

Patricia and David were wonderful with our cat. She got sick and they were quick to notify me and even took her to her vet. Great communication and care!

David and Patricia are so great with dogs! My dog usually does not like meeting new people initially, but she liked David and Patricia as soon as she met them. They've done a wonderful job feeding, walking, taking care of my dog 😊 I am so glad that I don't have to be filled with anxiety like I used to in the past when I had to board my dog at the kennel. I would give more than 5 stars if I could 🙂 Thanks so much!

Safety, trust & environment

We are true believers that pets are part of our families and look to take care of each clients’s pet as if they were our own. With us, you can rest assured that your pet is in good hands with a team that has extensive professional and medical experience working with dogs and, most importantly, is passionate about creating the perfect environment for humans and animals to interact. Let us share our love for animals with your family by becoming part of ours. A little about me personally: I’ve worked for the federal government nearly 15 years and take my responsibilities very seriously. I consider myself detail oriented but flexible. I will always do my best to go the extra mile and keep clients informed of everything through regular texts and photos. I’m also always looking to learn and welcome recommendations on how I can grow. Our home in Hyattsville has a fully fenced in backyard with a doggie door for easy access in and outside. We’re also surrounded by plenty of parks and green spaces and, on the weekends, love to explore new places with our pups and their stay-over friends! I have standard work hours during the week and great flexibility on the weekend. I’m on a hybrid telework schedule so the number of days I go into the office varies by week. I’m happy to try to rework my schedule to adapt to the needs of long term care or repeat clients. Our two pups are very easy going and have never had a problem with any other pets. They love the company and vice versa! Pets are able to roam the bottom floor of the house and fenced backyard freely. We also have crates of all sizes for those who prefer it.

A typical day

I have standard work hours during the week and great flexibility on the weekends. During work hours we’ll make use of my spacious fenced yard or head over to the Burlington Park around the corner. On the weekends we enjoy outings to Rock Creek Park, Great Falls, and exploring the DMV area with Mia, our beagle. New to Hyattsville we also hope to get to know the Anacostia watershed and surrounding areas in MD too! If your pup has a favorite go-to spot, let me know - we love exploring! What information is important to know ahead of time We have extensive experience caring for pets of all breeds and sizes. Our dog school in Colombia normally hosts 50+ dogs per day on a large farm and houses an average of 25 per night. You can rest assured that your dog’s care will be our top priority
