Hands-On, Full-Time Loving Care!

Pet care experience

Hello, I look forward to welcoming your pet into my home. Your pet will be treated with extra loving care, a continuation of your family! I have taken care of families' dogs treating them like they are my own. As I care for your pet, I will train and treat your pet like a treasured family member balancing play, rest, and discipline. Your pet will get the BEST attention! Better than being at the BEACH or other local, group dog boarding facilities! Consider this a safe, SPA vacation for your pet! I recently lost my beloved dog, Crystal, to cancer. My golden outlived most (16 yrs) do to exceptional loving care! With over 16 years of experience caring and loving my golden retriever (and other breeds), I miss having her playful companionship. That said, I would love the opportunity to share and play with your pet while you are gone. It's a win/win. You have peace of mind that your precious dog is safely cared for and I get my 'love for dogs' fix! Regarding Rover's Star Sitter status. Star Sitter is a new Rover tool to drive dog owners to new sitters using the Rover platform. This tool is designed to help new sitters build their business. It is not a tool to help established sitters who have a solid base of repeat clients. Rover is a service the self employed Sitter pays for in the running of her business. Star Sitter is not a pet owner's review. It is a sales tool to drive Rover's backoffice service; billing, invoicing, scheduling, calendars, tax statements, and some marketing to a new dog sitter. Rover does NOT provide pet care. Here are the 4 things Star Sitter measures: 1.The sitters' response time to an owner's request for service, 2. A sitter's number of bookings, 3. The sitter's number of repeat clients, 4. The sitter's number of NEW clients booked at any one time. The Star Sitter program conflicts with an established dog sitter's business practices by directing business away from her to the new dog sitter. My established business excels in response time, bookings, and repeat clients therefore Rover directs dog owners to the new dog sitters. Because of this, I do not book a lot of new clients, Star Sitter criteria #4. I hope you, the dog owner, will feel free to reach out to see if we have an opening. We do take New Clients. We provide excellent service and this is why we fill up quite readily with repeat clients. We board just a FEW pups. Let's make your pup one of them. When an opening comes available for a new client, we will immediately set-up a Meet & Greet. A Meet & Greet allows you, the pet owner, and I to determine if we are a good fit. Rover does not determine the results of a Meet & Greet, our work hours, the number of pups we wish to care for or any aspect of running OUR business. Our business has high standards that insures your pup gets the best hands on care. One can see from the Five Star Ratings provided by my clients, the dog owners, and the number of repeat clients, that we are an excellent sitter! The reviews from the dog owners are relevant! Please reachout to Meet & Greet! We look forward to meeting you and caring for your awesome pup! I live in a single family home. It backs to a small park and this park is next to a larger park. I do not have a fenced-in yard, BUT THAT IS OK! Your dog will have lots of exercise with at least three walks a day with animal friends and people to meet. As for furniture in the home, I take care to cover and protect. I enjoy cuddling on my lap. You the owner, dictate the rules! Let me know what is important to you and I will abide! As a lover of ALL dogs large and small, puppies to seniors, your pet will get one-on-one, individual attention. I do make an exception to caring for the Pit Bull breed. My consern is a playful or other bite from a Pit may do some damage. I prefer to avoid this potential injury by not caring for Pits no matter how cute or well trained. I will walk, play, and treat your pet with exceptional, conscientious care being consistant with her/his physical, nutritional, and social needs. Total Loving Care and per your instructions! Walk areas: in addition to the park that backs up to my home, I live near Naperville Riverwalk, Knoch Knolls, and Springbrook Prairie where pets love to be walked. Let's meet, greet, and get started! I work out of my home. I enjoy providing a routine of full-time loving care, comfort, play, rest, and companionship to your precious pet. I treat your pet lovingly as if he/she were mine. Regarding scheduling your pup's staycation: Drop-offs and Pick-ups are by appointments based on precise times listed in booking. Ideally drop-offs and pick-ups are as early as 7 AM and as late as 6 PM during the week, M-F, and Saturdays. Sundays between Noon and 6 PM. Please verify your requested times when booking reservations. I have a great deal of space and a large porch to provide freedom of movement as your fur baby chooses. I can easily crate your fur baby if you provide your pup's crate. Many walks in the park backing up to home exercises your pup keeping him/her healthy and spry. I work out of my home as a consultant. Most of my meetings are on Zoom. Occasionally, I have onsite meeting nearby. The daily routine is up at 6 AM, pup immediately has a potty break. He/she is fed and then taken for a walk around our park. Once back home we have play time then nap time. If you the owner has brought a crate (usually for the puppies) and per your instructions, your pup may nap in his/her crate or in a puppy safe place, the kitchen. Older dogs enjoy their bed or blanket supplied from their home. Every two hours, your pup enjoys a potty break. Around dinner we add a 3rd walk and more play time. Your pup will be let out to potty break one last time before bed time sometime between 9:30 PM- 10:00 PM. Your precious fur babies are monitored for safety. If more than one pup is in home, each pup will be fed separately in his/her own uninterrupted space. Pups will be separated for safety reasons and allowed to play together during monitored play time once pups have demonstrated good behavior in getting along with others.

Pat took wonderful care of my large golden 1 year old. He’s still a little rambunctious, but Pat handled him well. Received many photos through his stay which made me feel at ease.

Ellie was in great hands with Pat! She had fun playing with the other dogs and Pat sent photos to keep us up to date. She was very thorough and I knew that Ellie was in good hands.

Information Pat R. would like to know about your pet

I would like to know more about your pet. What does she/he like? What is her/his unique temperament? What is her/his personality? What are his/her fears and likes/dislikes? Tell me about her/his routines, medication if any, dietary needs, and more. Is there something you would like me to work on with your pet while he/she is here to continue his/her training? I will provide continuity. I love all breeds. My favorite breed, but I am not limited, is the golden retriever. I really LOVE all dogs!

A typical day

OPTIONS: Furniture is well covered and protected. Will allow lap cuddling if ok with owners otherwise we abide by ther owners' rules. Toys are available to keep your pet occupied. One toy at a time so he/she does not get bored or overwhelmed. Up to 3 walks daily. My retriever enjoyed playing catch in the park that butts up to my back yard. Secured with a very long rope, we would play fetch. She loved it. She was protected from wandering beyond our boundaries but she was not hindered or entangled preventing her ability to fetch. We also belong to all the Dupage Dog Parks. During Covid-19, we have put this activity on temporary hold.
