Pet care experience
I had 2 cats over the past 18 years (just lost my old guy). I also have a bell-trained 18-month-old goldendoodle (lost our senior dog last summer), and I have lots of time and love for the dogs I care for. I've also taken care of neighbor dogs for 14 years. Even when they just needed to be fed and let out, I asked my neighbors if they minded me staying a bit to keep them company while watching TV, tossing a toy around the yard, or practicing my Toastmasters speeches. I love animals and don't want them to be lonely or too sedentary. I already walk my own dog every day for 30 minutes to an hour in all kinds of settings (neighborhoods, parks, trails) and weather (long walks in the snow). I work from home and set my own schedule, so I am available to meet pet needs. I have a fenced yard and a well-trained, energetic goldendoodle who needs friends (Covid puppy). I work a flexible schedule from home and don't mind taking breaks to tend to your pet's needs.

Parri was an excellent caregiver for my anxious, elderly little dog while we were away for a short trip. She was very patient and followed his lead in terms of comfort level with a new person. I booked multiple visits and she was on time for all of them and spent as much time as was needed. She did everything I hoped for and more to make sure Odie was safe and comfortable. Would definitely book again and recommend to others!
Parri was wonderfully reliable and treated our dog well. We got great pictures and could tell she was having fun playing and engaging with Parri. Highly recommend!
I had a family emergency and had to book a dogwalker immediately. Parri was very responsive to the booking request and quickly arranged for a meet and greet. Communication throughout was prompt, before and after walks, and my dog got the exercise she needed. I will definitely think of Parri again when I need a dog walker/sitter.
Parri went above and beyond to take care of our two large dogs! She met with us before, had questions ready to ask so she could be prepared for her time with our babies, and we didn’t have to worry about a thing while we were gone! She even stayed over the time we booked her for just to make sure both dogs got the care and attention she strives to provide in her visits. Parri went from being a complete stranger to quickly becoming the only person we would trust with our dogs in Lansing in just a few days. We love Parri and could not recommend her enough. It's also helpful to know the commands your dog responds to, so I don't change any verbage on them and speak to them in a way that they understand.
A typical day
I love to stimulate dogs physically and mentally. We'll sniff around the neighborhood, throw balls around my fenced-in yard, walk on trails, and depending on the energy level of your dog, I will take him/her somewhere they can run! I have lots of trails near my house, the closest being Bancroft Park.
