Pet care experience
I have cared for many pets over the years. My family loves ALL animals, but dogs and cats especially! I lived around animals constantly growing up. Since my husband and I have been married we have not had less than 3 dogs in our home at a time. We have worked with many different breeds, and feel comfortable working with other people's pets. I love taking care of pets and giving them love while their primary care taker (s) are away. I want people to feel comfortable for their pets to stay with me and my family while they are away. I will also, however, take care of pets in your home and take them on walks, as needed. I have been caring for animals as a pet sitter for 8-9 years and absolutely love it. I had to start caring for other people's pets so that I didn't end up with 20 dogs/cats of my own! I homeschool my two kids (5 and 7), which gives us extra time to care for your furry friends. They have been around dogs and cats since birth and know the correct way to respect/handle them. We have 1 yorkie, 1 miniature poodle, 2 golden retrievers, and 3 cats. All of our animals are obviously used to other animals being around, as we have different breeds coming and going regularly. We are flexible and can most likely accommodate whatever you would need!
Reviews
Amy and Mike did a great job taking care of noodles. They sent me pictures of him cuddled on their couch, playing with toys, and laying with one of their little dogs. Noodles came home happy and tired. I will be having Amy watch him again when we need to go out of town.
Lincoln and Cooper had a great time and were well taken care of!
Amy was very flexible and our dogs were very well taken care of and loved. They were all smiles when we picked them up. I would highly recommend Amy to anyone who needs a dog sitter!
Amy & Mike were great hosts. Amy was very responsive to my questions and very accommodating for pick-up and drop-off times. My pup was even reticent to leave because she had such a good time!

Information Amy P. would like to know about your pet
We do not have breed preferences, but the owner of the animal should know his/her behavior and be completely honest with us before we agree to pet sit. We have children and other animals in the home and cannot have a dog with terribly aggressive behavior. If a dog has food aggression, for instance, we need to know so that we can never have food down around him/her and we will also keep toys/bones put away. We like to know as much as possible about the dog (s) before agreeing to care for them in our home, especially. Here are a few ideas of what we would like to be told! The more we know, the better care we can provide. Are there special food restrictions? Does the dog have any medical issues? How to deal with negative behavior? How to reward for positive behavior? What is the exercise level of dog and typical type preferred? Does the dog like to charge the door when someone leaves? Does the dog exhibit any aggressive behaviors? If so, what are the triggers? Has the dog been around children? Other pets? Is the dog allowed on furniture? What vet does the animal see typically? Is the dog microchipped? What is your dog's typical daily routine? Does your dog have anxiety? If so, how does it manifest? Does your dog enjoy car rides?
A typical day
We have a park down the road from us with open spaces and sidewalks which is great for dog walking. Depending on the dogs' favorite activities, we have plenty of toys and balls for fetching. We like to play fetch in the backyard so that the dogs have room to run but can't escape!
