Dog-free home in Navy Yard!

Pet care experience

** I took a break from Rover while having a baby, now I'm back! Toddler-friendly dog booking requests only please! Our daughter Lillian is 14 months old! *** My husband and I are both of us are big dog lovers. We love going on long walks and runs, and are generally very active people. I have been dog-sitting through Rover as well as dog-fostering through a volunteer rescue organization for 12 years now. We live in a 4-story house in Navy Yard that is an extremely dog-friendly neighborhood. We have a front/side yard, a roofdeck on the top floor, and there are three dog parks within walking distance. I have dog-sat for pretty much every single breed of dog. Your dog will have free roam of our house except for our bedroom. The only Rover dogs that have had challenges with us are if your dog is used to sleeping IN your bed with you at night (which we don't allow) - please let us know if that is the case, and if yes, we probably aren't the best fit household. Look forward to meeting you and your pup - and we love sharing photos with you throughout your pup's stay so you can get regular updates!

Pam was great with our dog Harper! Harper has stayed with her before and both have been very positive experiences. She checked in, sent photos, and was very communicative. Highly recommend!

This was not our first time using Pam and won’t be our last. Thank you for taking such great care of our girl!

Pam was fantastic! She sent daily updates and photos, so I knew Rocky was having a good time while I was gone. He looked relaxed, and when I picked him up, he was a happy, tired (from lots of walks) dog. I am grateful to have such a wonderful dog sitter nearby.

Andy had a great time with Pam. Communication was good and we felt very comfortable leaving him with her. 100% recommend, and will definitely use her excellent services again.

Information Pamela S. would like to know about your pet

-- what their sleeping situation is they're used to at home (we don't allow dogs in our bedroom, and have had 1-2 pups that struggled with this if they're used to that at home). -- Does your pup have known positive experiences / interactions with a toddler (our daugther Lillian was born March 2022!)

A typical day

Walks, walks, walks! Your pup can walk with me as I drop of my daughter off at daycare (8:30am) and as I pick her up (5pm). If your pup has experience running with you, I'd also be happy to take your pup on my roughly 3-mile running route. If your pup is good with other dogs, I'd also be happy to take your pup to one of our local dog parks.
