I am a retired health care professional with a soft spot for all animals big and small. I worked as a veterinarian assistant during my college years in the summer and weekends. I am on several animal advocacy organizations and donate old towels, newspapers, bedding, food, etc. I also have a cat who's very aloof and keeps to herself. There are 2 outdoor cats that I have taken care of and fed since last year. I clean their wounds, apply medications and Advantage to prevent parasites. I build feral cat houses in the winter in which they appear to appreciate. I volunteered to work at the Equine Rescue Group in Gallatin, TN. We celebrate birthdays and holidays with special outdoor activities( weather permitting) and treats. I am considering making my own pet treats in the future !
