Pet care experience
I grew up with dogs and cats and have taken care of both dogs and cats. I've pet-sitted, taken friends', families' dogs and cats in my own home and also stayed in their homes to care for their animals. My former kitty developed kidney disease so I learned how to give fluids and do medication. And my most recent kitty had megacolon. I tried diet and medication and then had her colon removed after she stopped improving. She did very well for 6 months but recently died, from a sudden stroke (a saddle thrombosis). I am still sad. I connect with dogs (and cats) very well. I am an animal person and love being around animals. I am also in great physical shape so can walk, play, groom dogs. I am good with animals and treat them like people. I give lots of affection. I am extremely organized and responsible and also can follow an animal's routine. I am good with communicating with owners. I am especially good with cats (because I just had a wonderful kitty who died at the age of 16) and feel I speak their language. I am also good with dogs, just haven't had a dog in a number of years. I've had to now take care of two sick kitties so know how to do medication (compound liquids and sub-q fluids). I am very knowledgeable about cat health, nutrition and learned the hard way of what isn't great for kitties (only dry diet). As of now, I have no animals in the house. I miss my favorite companions. I can host cats now - board them here so the owners know they get lots of care, play time while they are gone.

Having Skylar stay with Pam for 5 days was a wonderful experience for both kitty and myself!! For Skylar this was like a vacation at a 7 Star resort. Pam is very details oriented and provided Great updates with lots of pictures. Boarding Skylar with Pam was the best decision and repeat visits are definitely in the future. Skylar is diabetic and requires insulin and a special diet. The visit could not have gone better!! Pam is simply THE VERY BEST!!!!!
Pam was an exceptional sitter! Nothing but good things to say: highly communicative, fantastic with pets, and easy to work with. We would absolutely trust our cat to her again.
Pam was absolutely fantastic. She took the time to really understand Simon; she asked a lot of questions up front and it was clear from the beginning that Simon would be in great hands while I was away. He was a bit nervous in the beginning, but Pam was patient and allowed him to get comfortable at his own pace. She provided regular updates and photos and made sure I knew how Simon was doing throughout his stay. I am so glad to have connected with Pam and would highly recommend her to any cat parent.
I couldn’t find a better person to board my cat with if I tried. Pam took great care of my cat Martin while I was away. She’s extremely communicative, sending loads of photos and detailed messages about how he was doing. Her home and demeanor is so welcoming to cats that Martin was venturing out of hiding on day one when he usually keeps to himself for at least 1-2 days when boarding. When he had a change in behavior Pam was careful to give me all the details and keep me informed while providing extra care to help him get back to normal, which he did within a day. Going forward Pam’s calendar will be the first thing I check when planning travel so I can rebook her to watch my cat because he won’t get better care and attention anywhere else.

I am good/comfortable with all breeds. Of course, the friendlier and interactive kitties seem to adjust to boarding easier. I am used more shy kitties hiding for a day then totally feeling comfortable.
A typical day
Lots of playing, cuddling, interaction. I do have one cat client who does walk on a leash. He is an outdoor kitty at home. He is very good on the leash.

I am a software developer and work full-time remotely, at home. I have flexibility to either do drop-in visits or can have cats in my home. Usually one cat at a time but I'd consider 2 if they are from the same family.
