Your Pup's Mom away from Mom

Pet care experience

I have 27 years combined experience caring for pets including dogs, cats and reptiles. In my home, pets are like family and are treated with lots of TLC and cuddling! I currently have a son in college living at home and a 13 year old daughter who loves playing, snuggling and spoiling dogs! I walk over two miles per day for exercise so I can take your dog for long walks on the wooded paths in my neighborhood and to nearby parks. To ensure that your pup gets my family's full attention and affection, I will be taking on only one dog at a time. I allow dogs to sleep in my bedroom on their own doggie bed. When I am not dog sitting, I substitute teach in the local elementary schools and prefer working with Special Ed children. I have 19 years of experience working with visually impaired adults.

Pam and her family took great care of our dog, Tasha. Tasha requires a little TLC during thunderstorms and Pam was happy to help out. During Tasha’s stay, we received lots of updates and photos of Tasha having fun. We will definitely have Tasha stay with Pam again!

Pam's home was a good match for my dog as she only takes one dog at a time, and since she does not have a fenced back yard, she walks the dog for potty breaks and exercise. We had a wonderful "meet and greet" with lots of doggy running and playing, and general getting acquainted. Pam's daughter, who loves dogs, was a great stand in for a doggy companion. For my dog, this environment was perfect, as she received individual attention and was not overwhelmed by the presence of many new dogs.

My dog, Sonia, had a great time with Pam and her family. Pam took excellent care of Sonia! Pam is an experienced dog sitter, very knowledgeable, caring, gentle, and she was very attentive to my dog’s needs. Sonia adjusted to Pam and her family very well and very fast. I was glad to see that she ate and played normally right from the beginning. Pam’s daughter, Emily, spent a lot of time with Sonia, played with her, and gave her lots of attention. Emily was very kind and gentle with Sonia. Pam sent me updates and pictures so I could relax while on vacation knowing that my dog is well taken care of and treated with love and care. I highly recommend Pam!

Tickles went to a party, she had so much fun at Pams!!! Emily is Pam's daughter and she played and had so much fun with Tickles. It was a great match. I loved that Pam only takes one dog at a time. She was just the perfect match for my dog. They were great friends the moment that they met. Pam is very caring and takes excellent care of your pet. She asked all of the right questions and even ones that I did not think of. also ones that were really important to my dogs care. If you want your pet to treated that royality then this is the place for you.

Information Pam V. would like to know about your pet

I require written proof that all vaccines are current ... rabies, distemper/parvo, bordetella. I require that dog(s) be on monthly heartworm preventative and flea/tick preventative to come into my home. I live in a forested area and want your dog to be protected for the benefit of all parties involved. Also, does your dog love and look forward to playing with children? How friendly to other dogs is he/she?

A typical day

In my neighborhood there are beautiful walking trails that lead to Parks and/or open space, where we can run and play!
