Empty Nest Professional Couple

Pet care experience

When we lost our sweet Nick, we were heartbroken. He was a blind Miniature Schnauzer suffering from diabetes. While we aren't ready for a new dog as a family member, we'd love to give our attention to your pup. Our active family includes my husband, who works from home in IT, myself - a middle school librarian, and often one of our adult children who are home from college or to visit. Your pet(s) will have an entire team to keep them company and engaged in your absence. We've been on Rover for over four years and enjoy meeting new people and their pups. We've recently completed a complete remodel of our home, including waterproof vinyl flooring for a stress-free pet environment. I use all-natural cleaning products, and we're conscientious about sanitizing between clients. Most importantly, we want your pet to feel at home with us and will do our best to make them feel loved and secure in your absence. We can give insulin shots if your pet is diabetic or needs meds - this was a huge concern for us when we traveled without Nick. We recently added this option if you'd rather my husband and I stay in your home. Our youngest is heading to college, so we're flexible in our availability and enjoy a change of scenery! We will need a high-speed internet connection to work from your home. I look forward to hearing from you and learning more about your pup!

Pam is amazing! Do not miss the opportunity to board your dog with Pam, your dog will feel at home and you can absolutely relax on your non dog vacation😉 You will not find a better situation for your pet 🐶❤️ She treats your pet as her own, lots of love, comforts, walks, cuddles and everything any pooch could hope for.

Pam and Richard were great with our pup, I’m always a little apprehensive leaving him with new people for the first time but Pam quickly put my mind at rest that he was in safe hands and it looked like he had a lovely time. Thanks both!

Pam is the best. Loves dogs and looked after our two standard poodles so well. Her home is lovely and calm, perfect for a doggie vacay.

Our dog absolutely loves his time with Pam and Richard. He hadn’t been there in a couple of years but as soon as the door opened, he ran right in and made himself at home. The best home away from home!

Our yard is fully fenced with chain-link fencing. We keep our side-gate padlocked to prevent it from being opened by mistake. We're able to leave our patio door open during the day for pups to go in and out at their will. We do not allow them out at dusk or in the evening alone just as a precaution with coyotes. While we've never seen one on our street or in our yard, we know they are in the area.

A typical day

We love taking our visiting pups with us for patio dining. With our location in the Lantern District, we have lots of restaurants to choose from within walking distance. In addition, we often take social larger dogs to the dog park for some extra room to stretch their legs. Daily walks around our neighborhood are part of our morning and evening routine.
