I have loved dogs my whole life. One of my priorities when becoming an adult was rescuing a dog, and shortly thereafter I had four! One foster border collie, one shelter-rescued border collie, one Aussie/border collie mix adopted from a friend, and one epileptic American Eskimo/Border Collie called me “mamma”. My 14-year young man Cosmo, my shelter bc, who grows quirkier and more wonky each day he ages, is in great health and spirits and I am so grateful to still have him around. We recently adopted a puppy from a shelter way up north, and Bogey is reminding Cosmo how to play on a daily basis! I dogsat for friends and family a great deal in Wausau from 2000-16, and since moving to WI Rapids and now Janesville, I have missed the joy of having guest fur babies around. I am an avid runner and I miss the days of my dogs running along with me, so dogs who need lots of exercise are my favorite! When I run, I will literally go out of my way to meet a stranger’s dog, and will probably remember that dog's name if I see them again!! I am fair but firm with dogs, I use clickers or treats to reward good behavior, and never reinforce poor behavior. My friends say I like dogs more than people and I don’t disagree :)
