I have owned 8 dogs, 1 rabbit, 1 guinea pig, and 2 horses during my adult life. I currently have one dog and 1 horse. All of my pets have been "indoor" and adopted from a shelter or strays. I love having animals and have become skilled at noticing any wounds, odd behavior, or stress. I continue to care for family and friends' pets when they travel. I have always had good veterinary care and take my responsibilities seriously. Giving medication or tending to wounds is comfortable for me because of having to treat my horses and dogs when they have been sick or sustained an injury.
