I am the kind of person who melts when I see a happy dog. Yes. I am one of those. I'm that girl who will kindly stop to ask you if I can pleease pet your puppy, lol. With the exception of working dogs of course. :) The best part of my work is being able to build a bond with each new dog I am caring for. It's a rewarding process! It helps the dog feel safe knowing they can rely on me to be there for them. I know this when they look up to me for guidance, for positive affirmations, for food & water, playtime, joy rides, and for comfort. It’s not enough to “love” dogs to carry out this job well. The skills I have would be: having emotional intelligence, recognizing behavior signals, verbal & non-verbal communication, having patience, and the ability to be calm and act diligently in emergency situations. I'm available to be reached via phone or e-mail at any time and make sure I am always connected with the owner --typically sending awesome videos and pictures of their pet-child each day.
