Nickname: Critter Girl

Pet care experience

I have grown up with and become responsible for my own dogs since I was a baby and my parents rescued my childhood best friend; an Australian Shepard/Rottweiler mix named Wyotie. We grew up together until we were both 14, and it was sadly his time to go. After that, my first love walked into our lives, a Pit Bull named Petey; he still comes before everyone else in my life, and will forever be closest to my heart. Petey and I have gotten through a lot together. Now I have my own girl, Mikasa, a Pit Bull rescue; and she's the best part of my life! I cherish my critter companions, often more than my human companions. It will fill me with joy and contentment to get to know your fur babies' personality and find out the things that make him or her the happiest! I work professionally caring for dogs and cats in a vet hospital kennel. I am confident and have experience with all personalities, including difficult/problem dogs. I would be happy to work with them on obedience training during our time together, if so desired! I have spent my life thus far in close husbandry with many animals; including dogs, cats, rabbits, avians, ferrets, guinea pigs, gerbils & other rodents, reptiles, large and small livestock, various poultry, and a variety of wildlife rehabilitation. I have ridden horses since before I could walk, and would cherish taking care of your farm and/or other pets as well as your dogs and cats! In my house, the day is centered around what makes my critter kids happy; and you can be sure that will be the center of my day with your animals! I do work full time at a kennel, therefore all bookings are subject to my work schedule. I will do my best to keep my calendar updated! However Rover doesn't allow me to block off time frames within the day on the calendar, so we'll just talk it through when you get in touch with me! I am most often available in the mornings before 10am, and after work around 9pm. However my hours are variable and I do sometimes work morning shifts and doubles (the days I'm working doubles I will have completely blocked off on the calendar). When working just a morning shift I am typically free from mid to late afternoon for the rest of the day. No matter what, once you get in touch with me we'll talk about your needs and how I can help around my work schedule! Additionally, pertaining to house sitting requests, you should be aware that because I have my own animals to care for, I will not be able to sleep every night at your house. However if it's imperative that your animals have someone with them overnight, I may be able to work something out with a friend or my boyfriend to watch my animals briefly so that I can provide the best care for your animals!

Paige and her boyfriend were fantastic!! They helped me with my dog when I was in a super tight spot on short notice. My dog Sydney really enjoyed himself and came home tired and happy. Paige is great with all animals as well. Super great experience!! Thank you Paige!!!:))))

Paige is AMAZING! She was very in tune to Clementyne's needs and did her best to keep her anxiety at a minimum when we left. We are first time dog parents and she was very helpful with tips and tricks for our ongoing training especially with walking! She is open, honest and caring and I felt comfortable the moment I met her. Your pet will be in very good hands with Paige!

Paige just gets animals, always has. This is particularly true when it comes to dogs. She is very knowledgeable about care-giving for dogs; but equally importantly, she intuits their needs, and they seem to sense this. I know this because she has pet-sat both of my wheaten terriers - the first was a senior when she first was cared for by Paige. The second was a wild hooligan, typical of the breed when they are young. Paige adjusted her speed to both, taking them on walks/romps, playing with them, teaching them tricks. So fun for them, and so wonderful for me...I could hand Paige the key to my home, and leave for a few days knowing that both my beloved pooch and home would be well-cared for. As a person, Paige is trustworthy, smart and displays solid judgment, which she knows how to execute on when the circumstances demand it. In this regard, she is very resourceful and responsible. Said differently, you could not find a better sitter for your pets, and for you.

Paige has been dog and house sitting for me since she was 16 years old. She connects with all animals in a very special way (dog, cat, horse, hen, etc..). She ensures she knows all the details of caring for your special pet by asking smart and thorough questions. She treats every living being as though they are her own, very loved member of her family. She has cared for my special canine family members of all ages and special needs in my home, as well as her own, and has done an amazing job. I trust her completely with my beloved pets.

Information Paige W. would like to know about your pet

I would like to know about allergies and medical needs if your dog has any. I would like to know if you dog has any special traits or quirks, like "doesn't want his legs touched" or "afraid of people with canes" or "loves salmon treats but hates chicken treats" I'd also like to know a little bit about how socialized your dog is; is he/she good with other dogs? other animals? or are they a singular dog that would do best without encountering other animals? I would appreciate knowing a little bit about your dog's past, if significant. For example, many rescues have had to or are still healing from their past traumas, and our critter companions have very long memories. Occasionally an animal can be left with a life long fear of something that doesn't stand out to anyone else, I would like to be aware of things like that. Does your dog need to be crated at night or if I run to town, or are they well behaved loose in the house? Are they happily crate trained, or does your pooch hate the crate?

A typical day

My soul is happiest when I am outside, which means your dog and I will find all kinds of adventures! I am an avid hiker, and would love to have your pup as a hiking companion! I live within 1 mile of the greenway and within a 20 minute drive to Letchworth State Park with access to the Fingerlakes Trail, among many other smaller preserves and trails within the greater Rochester and Geneseo areas.
