Pet care experience

Hi there! My name is Paige and I love ALL animals. What you are about to read will be longer than usual, but I prefer to be as informative as possible because currently I am a stranger to you and you're looking to have a sitter for a very important family member of yours. In my personal opinion, pet-sitting carries a lot of responsibilities and there is a lot of liability on the sitter as well. All of the following you're about to read is exactly what I would want my pet sitter to offer if I ever needed this service for my fur babies. I am a perfectionist, very organized, careful, and very detail-oriented so that expectations can be met and hopefully most questions can be answered. I have had experience for several years dog sitting for family, friends, and clients through apps as these. I believe we as humans are advocates for our fur babies and I have much compassion for all animals. I have taken care of puppies (even bottle fed puppies whose mother could not feed), female dogs in heat, pregnant dogs, I've provided oral medication to animals under the vet's & owner's orders, and I've taken care of animals with recent invasive procedures (spay/neutered) and even a more serious surgery such as masectomy. I reside in a house that offers a fenced in small yard with grass (which is great during these summer months since the ground gets so hot from the sun). My home is available full time for your pet- I currently work from home which allows me all the flexibility required to care and look after your pet just as I already do for my own. I like to think of my home as a Small to Medium Sized Dog Haven. I am available most holidays, and the only request I have is that your pet is friendly with other dogs as I have two happy dogs myself (a 6 year old female Pomeranian, Baylor, and a 5 year old Golden Doodle, Ted; both are up to date on shots). I have a smart phone (iPhone) that offers my clients the ability to contact me via FaceTime at any time (day or night) during their days away from their fur babies to check in and see their beloved pets. It is my personal preference and pleasure to offer this to clients so they can relax and feel at ease while their pet stays with me. Any client of mine can reach out to me anytime via call/text/email and even FaceTime to see their pet. In today's day and age, it's hard to trust anyone with your pets because they truly ARE family, so this service provides comfort to the owner which is a top priority for me. In my home, your pet will have their very own cupboard that will hold their personal food & treats. I request that owners bring their own food as changing food in a new residence is one way your pup could become nervous from the changes they’re facing while you’re away. All pets that I sit must be up-to-date on shots. I also request three different forms of contact information (personal mobile/house phone number, work number, email, etc.) as a way to get a hold of the owner should there ever be a need to do so. An owner will also be required to provide a secondary contact in the case that I am unable to get a hold of the primary owner. {As mentioned, I have over ten years experience. Below is some additional information about my home and what to expect as your sitter}. What your pup gets when staying with Baylor, Ted and myself: • At least 3 walks a day, maximum 6. In this Arizona heat, the cement can be too hot for paws to walk on, so during the day (between 11am-4pm) I monitor the dogs during their potty breaks in my backyard. During walks, your dog(s) will be kept on their leash for the entirety of the walk. My home is not too big, not too small so there’s enough room for my two fur babies and yours. I will only allow up to two additional pets in my home. For example, if you have two dogs, I will sit and board them, but if I receive an offer from another family to do sit or board their pet, I will decline service to them. Here’s a bit of additional info about my fur babies: Baylor was a dog that I got as a puppy. She was the only one in her litter that turned out white (her parents were black and brown). Plus she had one blue eye and her other eye was only half blue- I think that scared most buyers away, probably thinking she had something wrong with her. But she’s perfect & healthy! Baylor weighs about 15 lbs (she is a bigger Pomeranian). Baylor likes long walks in the winter and will sleep in any box or bin she finds around the house 😂🤷🏼‍♀️ Ted loves to play and he is always so curious about everything! He likes to bark at the mailman but he is scared of the wind blowing against the house when a storm rolls in. He’s a very loving and sweet boy. He was the runt of his litter and he only weighs about 55 lbs, so he’s still on the smaller side for his breed. In addition: • Your pet will also receive affection galore! (One of the most important parts) and they will still be happy to go home to you. 😊 • Feeding schedule with your pup's particular food, provided by the owner (as mentioned, a change in food is one of the things that can make pups most nervous). • A peaceful place to sleep- furniture friendly! ☺️ • And, playtime indoors where it’s nice and cool! In conclusion, I simply adore animals, their innocent nature, loyalty and overwhelming love. Caring for them and providing that unconditional love that they provide us is a huge passion of mine. I look forward to meeting you and your fur babies! PS. Whoever said diamonds were a girl's best friend, clearly never owned a dog 😉

I’m so glad I found Paige! My dog Marley absolutely loves going over there. Paige makes you feel comfortable and safe leaving you’re dog all day and overnight. She gives updates and takes the time to learn your dogs typical behavior, to know when something might be ‘off’. Truly goes above and beyond!

Information Paige S. would like to know about your pet

I'd like to know what your dog likes and dislikes. I want to also make sure they get along well with other dogs as I have two dogs of my own. I don’t mind boarding puppies as long as their vaccinations are current! I can help with the potty training for pups, but if you have a dog that is over 6 months old and isn’t potty trained, I would prefer to know that in advance.

A typical day

We play with toys that squeak, toss balls for games of fetch and go on walks around the neighborhood! Kiwanis park is also only a couple of blocks away, so if I board a dog that needs more exercise I would do a lap around that park with them!
