I just graduated from college and will not be starting my full time job until the end of the summer, so I am free nearly all day every day this summer. I have helped raise many of my family’s dogs ranging from chihuahuas & yorkies to akitas & labs. I have been blessed to be the fur mom to Hendrix and Maggie who both love to make friends & play with other dogs. My live-in BF works at a dog daycare full time & has taught me a lot about dog care & mannerisms as well; he has some varying weekdays where he is off or works half days which allows him to be at home with the dogs as well. I have knowledge of CPR & Heimlich for dogs. I have also been able to train my dog to perform tasks such as rolling over fairly quickly, so if your dog stays with me they may come home with a new trick or two ;). Dogs of all ages and sizes have a special place in my heart & I love to meet new dog friends! I am a firm believer that a dog shouldn’t be judged by their breed so I am open to all dog breeds! With that in mind, I will not accept requests for dogs who have known aggressive personalities. I am comfortable with dogs of all sizes. My dogs love going to the park just a half-mile walk from my home and traveling to walk trails at white rock lake or Katy trail; I would love to walk your dog at locations such as these! We also have our own small privacy-fenced back yard that has a long grassy area for the dogs to run and do their business on. My dogs have also trained me to play fetch, play tug-of-war, give cuddles, & to give the world’s best belly rubs/butt scratches/ear scratches. If your dog is comfortable with it I am willing to bathe, brush, & give nail trim for an added fee. Please do not ask me to trim your dog’s nails if they do not handle it well. I prefer to use a nail grinder, especially with black nails. I am willing to meet your dog’s needs whatever they be (within reason)! I can give oral medication but have never had experience with injections. I would consider performing this service if the dog is used to injections & if I were taught beforehand by the owner. I highly prefer walk, sitting, & drop in requests to be within a 10 minute drive from my home which is south of white rock late and north of I-30. Boarding distance is less important. I prefer to board a dog rather than sitting overnight with them. I look forward to meeting & giving the best care to your best friend!
