I grew up in a house of two kids, two chocolate labs, 10 fox terriers and one yorki, three horses, one mule, one peacock, two mini-pigs, and quite a few cuban hens and roosters. My interest for animals and pet care made me want to become a vet when growing up. I would assist my blind aunt and her service dog at her human-dog training and I loved to hang in the clinic where they taught me to do simple check up procedures that I still remember to this day and perform on my dog, such as ear, paw, and skin care, and great tips to train our dog at home. Throughout high school, I often volunteered on the weekends at Alaqua Animal refuge and play with the dogs with heart-worm to keep them active, and fostered a couple of dogs from PAWS animals refuge at our house, which convinced me to adopt our current Doberman Pincher/ Back Lab mix named Lucas, who needless to say has become a true member of our family. I am currently a college student so my schedule is flexible to take care of pets and do homework throughout the day! Also pets are great to decompress #engineering I have a fenced yard and live in a great neighborhood to keep your pet active! I can easily use a crate if needed. My friendly dog is free around the house, but if necessary they can be separated with door fences. Rooms adapted for energetic pups.
