I will work to provide expertise service for both you and your animal companions. The moments I spend away from my own companions and with your beloved animals are a bit bittersweet, but working to ensure that your animal is cared for in your absence makes providing the Rover experience worthwhile. My philosophical approach toward both human and non-human animals is one of compassion and understanding. I not only actively work to advocate for both welfare and humanity toward all our earthly human and non-human animal companions, but I also maintain a vegetarian diet in line with such ideology. I have previously volunteered with multiple animal rights organizations, volunteered as an animal cruelty investigator, helped multiple clients with physical disabilities train and refine ADI accredited service animal companions, and I continue to provide care to or rescue animals found to be in need. I have prior experience with various training and corrective tactics, though I favor positive reinforcement and strong leadership over all others. I feel that communication, building trust, and having an understanding of each animal companion’s unique perspective on the world creates less stress and more enjoyment throughout a Rover booking. Even if we are unable to work together at this time, I thank you and hope you will keep me in your mind for future consideration. __________ ADDITIONAL THINGS TO CONSIDER -a preemptive FAQ: • COVID19 BOOKING NOTICE- In light of the recent COVID-19 pandemic please know that I have taken extra steps in my personal life to ensure that I minimize my own risk to exposure and remain as safe and healthy as possible. This, of course, helps keep you safe and healthy as well! When I arrive to our meet-and-greet I will likely be masked-up for the duration. I also offer remote meet-and-greets upon request. I do reserve the right to refuse booking services to individuals who either present themselves as a risk or conditions which present a risk to my personal health. • CONTACTING VS. BOOKING - It's easy to get in touch with me and receive a quote of the costs for booking the services required during your absence. Simply select each requested booking service option along with the corresponding service date(s). Upon the reception of the initial booking request we will discuss each animal companion, their daily routines, your service expectations, all questions, concerns, and review any add-on options for an ultimate experience. Scheduling a meet-and-greet will allow for me to introduce myself to you, your family, and your animal companions. Meet-and-greets also offer an opportunity for a key-exchange. Please be certain to book and pay through Rover to completely finalize your booking reservation(s). Priority service will be given to repeat clients and those who have completely finalized their bookings, especially during holidays and periods of high-demand. • MULTIPLE COMPANIONS PER BOOKING - I accept booking requests for households with multiple animal companions. Please be certain to create a Rover profile for each of your animal companions so that I can familiarize myself with their specific likes, wants, and needs prior to the service date. Additional time for multiple companion bookings will be given as needed to ensure quality service and care. Check my current rates for additional companion charges. • LOW STRESS & MINIMAL ANXIETY SERVICES - Daily in-home drop-in visits and outdoor walking adventures are a perfect way to supplement care or provide outing opportunities throughout each day. Evening house sitting booking options allow you to ensure that both your animal companions and home are under constant supervision and care overnight. All of my booking options help minimize the stress and anxiety experienced during your absence by allowing your animal companions to base themselves from within their own home territory, maintain their own set routines, and receive the one-on-one attention that they each desire while you are away. • SERVICES BY REQUEST - Additional services, outings, and tasks can be performed upon prior specified request. These services may include but are not limited to indoor/outdoor play, neighborhood walks, playtime in a nearby dog park, and beyond. These services and tasks may be offered with either no additional charge or at a very low-cost which will be adjusted and appear onto your booking charges if applicable. Complimentary home monitoring services are included with each booking upon request 0(e.g. facility security checks, security lights, postal collection, plant care, sump pump checks, etc.). • ROVER CARDS & COMMUNICATION - I actively use Rover Cards during both drop-in visits and walking adventure bookings. Rover Cards use GPS tracking and the Rover app to confirm my physical arrival at each home, actively verify the time spent at the booking service location, and gives owners the opportunity to see the physical distance traveled during each walking adventure. In addition, Rover Cards also include seamlessly tracked details of each animal companion's cares, photo updates, and a detailed service summary for each completed booking. Rover Cards are not currently available for evening house sitting services. In lieu of Rover Cards I am committed to keeping all owners informed during their absence by sending candid photographs and updates in regards to each animal companion throughout the duration of each house sitting booking. Upon completion of the booking I will also send a summary to confirm the services performed and to inform you of how the booking went. In respect to all owners I do reserve late-night and early-morning communications for emergency guidance only. • CANCELLATIONS - As in life, things can come up on your side unexpectedly. While I do my best to be open to situations as they arise and find workable solutions, I do have a 3 day cancellation policy for house sitting & drop-in services. There are times I have to turn away other potential clients for already scheduled bookings. A full refund is available if cancelled by 12:00pm 3 days before the service begins. If cancelled later than 12:00pm 3 days before the service begins, a 50% refund is available for the first 7 cancelled calendar days from the cancellation request date. A 100% refund is available for any additional days. Per Rover default walking services have a 1 day cancellation policy. I do reserve the right to waive the cancellation policy in consideration of unforseen (but well communicated) circumstances. See my calendar for full cancellation policy details. • RATES, FEES, & ADJUSTMENTS EXPLAINED SITTER SERVICE RATES: My rates for each booking service offered are current and as visible upon my Rover profile. My rates take compensation for travel, time, and the completion of services performed into consideration. Service rates may occasionally be updated or adjusted in order to stay competitive upon the Rover platform or to ensure both fair reimbursement and a fair wage per booking. Rover recieves 20% of my current listed service rate as a Rover sitter "service fee", leaving 80% of the set service rate as actual earnings. Holiday rates may apply for bookings scheduled during in-demand times of the year. ROVER OWNER FEES: These are additional fees which are independent of my listed service rates. Owner fees are not factored into my personal earnings. Beginning in September 2015, bookings by new account holders are charged an additional service fee amounting to 5-7% of the booking total. Services booked through a Rover account created prior to the date the fee was implemented will not be subject to the owner service fee. The fee cannot exceed $25/booking ($35 CAD/booking in Canada). BOOKING ADD-ON & COST ADJUSTMENTS: Specific task or booking requests may result in the need for additional charges. These charges ensure fair compensation and/or financial reimbursement for purposes disclosed during the booking process. These charges are independent of each booking service request and will appear as either a 'booking add-on' or 'cost adjustment', visible prior to the completion of each booking. A $1/mile traveling adjustment may also be added to any bookings requested outside of a 10-mile radius of my home. • GRATUITY & ADDITIONAL FEEDBACK - Gratuity is never expected, but any form of appreciation will be appreciated likewise! I try my best to keep my rates affordable for both repeat and prospective clients - though I do have to keep my time and expenses in mind when setting and reviewing rates. Additional gratuity on top of my current rates allows for me to worry less about making future rate adjustments and helps reaffirm that I'm providing great service to you and your companion!
