My own dogs have ranged in size/energy/behavior, but we would of course prefer that dogs we invite into our house for stays are somewhat potty-trained, friendly and hygienic!

Dogs staying in our house can lounge during the day in our sunny living room or take naps on our couch/bed. For walks I can range as far as you want - Socrates and Astoria Parks are easy walks. I have some toys and treats for hanging out, and there's a local pet store two blocks from my house open 9am-9pm daily for additional purchases. There are also at least two veterinary groups within 5-6 blocks with which I have previously had contact. In terms of socialization, your dogs are welcome to try to meet our two pet guinea pigs, and the neighborhood is not short of fellow dogs walking around the streets/parks! Two of my family's dogs required additional care as they aged (e.g., daily oral administration of medication), so I can provide basic coverage on that front as well.
