Pet care experience
Heya Hoomans! 🐶 I started working with Rover in 2019, soon after completing an interview + harness test, and I’ve been offering my pet care services ever since! I will gladly put my phone aside, and give my full attention to your pets. I enjoy following their wishes - whether it’s a longer-than-usual tree sniff (while keeping dogs safe from eating stuff), or petting the cats for as long as they want to be pet… My mission is that your pets love our time spent together and then return to you in good health & high spirits. I kindly appreciate your interest in my service, -Ori
Reviews
Ori walks our dogs regularly and has cared for them when we’re out of town. Our dogs love him and I have complete confidence that they are safe and cared for when they are with him. Ori is extremely reliable, a great communicator and really knows our dogs.
We were so thankful to Ori for taking such good care of our fur babies while we were gone. We appreciate pictures of our pets and were sent a couple (with little updates) while we were gone which made us smile. He watered the house plants and garden and brought in the mail, too! It felt so stress free and we were so happy that our home and animals were in such good hands with Ori while we were away.
Our high energy young dog had a great time with Ori! The right balance of fun and getting our dog to relax. Ori was very responsive and sent updates and photos throughout the week. Looking forward to booking another stay!
I always get anxious about leaving my dogs when I travel but Ori instantly put me at ease with his calm demeanor. I knew my mellow senior lab and high-energy boxer/terrier mix would feel welcome and be well cared for. They got plenty of walks and love during their stay. I would highly recommend Ori and hope he is available to watch my dogs during my next vacation. Thanks Or!

When I’m boarding at my home I only accept pets from 1 household at a time. I most often stay together with the pet I’m hosting for the entire stay, except for my short Trader Joe’s runs! Also, I'm glad to go on how many walks per day your pet normally goes on, or more 🤩

Information Ori A. would like to know about your pet
Please provide me with all the relevant information in writing. I will follow your instructions carefully and provide updates on a daily basis, if that’s ok. Also, please feel free to ask me anything.. I understand why leaving your pets overnight can be stressful.
A typical day
Whenever I’m home with a pet, I just try and enjoy our short period of time together. I connect by encouraging playfulness, genuinely caring about their needs, and by maintaining a friendly body-language + speaking tone. Repeat-stay dogs that have gained my trust often enjoy off-leash playtime at the nearby park. If that’s not the case yet, we’ll just enjoy exploring the neighborhood together. Please notice that I prefer walking dogs by leashing them to a body-harness, in opposed to leashing them by their necks. If feasible - please provide me with their own harness. During the drop-off day; in effort of minimizing the separation anxiety of that intense moment, I suggest that we all walk around a bit, and when the time seems right - say goodbye (or not), and then please allow your dog(s) the choice of continuing to walk with me in the other direction of which you’re headed, before you turn your back on us. I think that there is something about being the one to walk away which makes them feel better about the situation, and they should be familiar enough with me from the meet & greet to trustingly follow my lead at that moment. Please rest assured that I'll follow your exact instructions about everything - especially regarding food and medicine. Please provide me with their allotted food, medication (if needed), treats (if wanted), and favorite toys (if exists). I’m happy to share my food with pets who enjoy eating carrots, cucumbers, apples, bananas & cauliflowers as a treat. Also, I refresh the water bowl at least once a day, and I use a filtered water pitcher to do so (with <1 month old filters). At night, your pets are welcome to sleep wherever they prefer.. My bedroom door is always open. I wake up at 7am, and I enjoy starting the day with a nice morning walk and then breakfast, and I’m fine with doing it the other way around - when I’m hosting a pet that’s used to eating before the morning walk!
