Mary Poppins for your fur babies.

Pet care experience

*****I offer reduces rates for active duty military men & women. Please Ask!***** I spend most of my days taking care of cats and dogs. I go for several daily walks and do moderate grooming if needed. Currently working from home so I have the availability to care for your pet as if you were there all day. I make sure the pets are behaving but we still have a ton of fun. While I don't have a fenced yard, I have a run so we can spend time outside playing in a safe, supervised environment. There are no children in our household, but we do have two cats present. They are friendly and keep to themselves, but can be curious of any new comers. I am 15 minutes from Bradley International (I can try to accommodate drop off/pick up times in correlation with your flight departure/arrival), 6 minutes from an Amtrak Station, and just minutes from I91 and I291. Let me care for your pet as I care for mine!

Ophilia has been an amazing sitter for the past year! She has watched him since he was 3 months old. She is always checking on his health and notifies me of anything that may seem wrong and gives great advice for a brand new dog owner. She is flexible with my busy schedule. Bear loves her and can't wait to see her!

Our Corgi has been going to Ophelia's about twice a week since April. I feel like we hit the lottery finding her on Rover. My boyfriend is an EMT with hours and work days that fluctuate from week to week and my schedule is so that most nights I'm not out of work until 7PM. All the commercial day cares require pickup before 7PM and even many sitters on Rover were difficult to coordinate pickup after that time with. Ophelia handled all the puppy problems with grace and patience; when Atlas kept switching food early on she was always asking what amount and type to give him at drop off and she always got back to me at the end of the day with an update. She always sends photos so that I feel comfortable that my dog is safe. During the summer she purchased a small pool for him to play in and she always has dog beds and toys for him to use. She's flexible, communicative, helpful, and attentive. She treats my dog like her own - I highly recommend her. Thank you Ophelia for being such a wonderful help to us when we need you the most.

Ophelia was great. Very communicative. She sent us lots of pictures while we were away. Her house is very clean and "dog proof". Our dogs seemed happy and we'll taken care of when we picked them up.

Ophelia is a fantastic dog sitter. My 9 year old golden retriever Woody is very spunky & also a bit needy and Ophelia melded with him perfectly. She sent me pictures every day of Woody,,and responded to all my texts. I highly recommend Ophelia & would board Woody again with her. I give her 10 stars!!

Information Ophelia M. would like to know about your pet

I don't have breed restrictions, however, my house isn't really suited for larger sized dogs. Typically I find any dog over 75 pounds to not be a good fit, however, I assess on a case by case basis so we can ensure that your dog will have a good time in the environment. My house has two cats. Typically all the animals will be together (although the cats keep to themselves), but I can separate them if your dog doesn't do well with other animals. Males need to be neutered and females spayed once they are past the puppy stage. If your dog isn't spayed or neutered, we can potentially work something out, just please let me know. Knowing how well your dog listens is also important, it will not affect the outcome of whether I care for your pet or not but does help me provide proper care. Please inform me of any specials needs/wants, whether it be likes or dislikes. This information can mean the difference between your pet having an acceptable time or a wonderful time!

A typical day

There is a local park a hop, skip and jump away as well as a dog park a short drive from my home. Catch (of course!), tug-of-war and lots of snuggles both inside and outside. We can play with either the toys mom/dad provide or the one's I have. I have a good sized backyard with tie out tethers where we can chase one another, dig holes in the garden or gaze at the squirrels, rabbits and birds (always supervised of course!).
