Pet care experience
I am currently working as a dog sitter and walker, taking care of furry friends while their owners are away at work, or on vacation. As a native New Yorker and French Bull Dog co-parent, I know how important (and oftentimes difficult) it is ensuring your pet gets enough exercise in the city! Since I'm a writer who works from home, my schedule is flexible and ideal for all kinds of owners, from those who need last minute care to coverage on a long-planned vacation. I have experience providing animals the proper medication for their individual needs and can ensure that your pets will be safe and given adequate attention when you are away from home. Available for short/long term and last minute jobs. References are available upon request. P.S. I am also feline friendly for sittings and drop-ins! P.P.S. I am excited to report that I've recently taken on new pup clients as boarders. This has been very fun and convenient because I live right next to Fulton Park. I live in a two floor brownstone with a lovely couple who are away most of the time. They love dogs and may request snuggles, but, of course, I will be your pup's primary carer.

I am so grateful for Rover and Oona's awesome babysitting. This was my first time using a service plus having someone stay over and Oona made it super easy. She was very communicative during her two-night stay, sending pictures of my dog along with her updates. My dog isn't always the easiest and she was able to keep him happy and safe. It was such a pleasure to return to a happy dog and not have to pick him up from anywhere after a long, tiring weekend. Thank you Oonaa and Rover!
Oona cared for our puppy Joni for several nights while we were away for our first wedding anniversary. She ensured our anxious pup was comfortable and well cared for. She played with her often and rewarded her as instructed. Oona handled Joni's puppy energy with patience and was consistent with Joni's training was we discussed prior to her stay. Joni seemed to connect with Oona instantly despite being anxious and fearful when separated from her main caretakers. Joni is happy and comfortable around Oona, and we did not hesitate to leave on our journey knowing Joni had been left in capable and caring hands. Oona is a clear and concise communicator and always put Joni's comfort and safety ahead of everything else. We plan to book her again for short and long stays as well as walks.
Oona was very flexible and accommodating to my shifting work schedule. She was kind and attentive with Frankie, and though this visit turned out to be more of a trial run, I’m definitely looking forward to using Oona’s services in the future!

That way, you can guide me through you and your pet's routine -- diets, food allergies, pet peeves or previous injuries. I would also like your vet's contact info in case of emergency. Please let me know how your dog behaves around other dogs as well.
A typical day
Again, as a native New Yorker, I am a BIG walker. I will try to keep our walks active and interesting -- we will be exploring your neighborhood, nearby parks and visiting dog-runs (only if your dog is comfortable/socialized with others, of course). I also like to take a lot of photos so expect some glamor shots of your pup! I have experience with a variety of different harnesses (front clip, vest, and tightening) and collars.
