Pet care experience
The reason I want to be a petsitter is simple: I love pets. I have maintained a job in the pet care industry since 2010, from working for a licensed petsitting company as well as a cashier at Petsmart, prior veterinary reception experience, Office Manager at a veterinary clinic, and now Animal Care Director at a private non-profit Humane Society. I have had pets for my entire life, and I love working with animals of all shapes and sizes. I have many pets of my own, including 4 cats, 2 dogs, 3 chinchillas, and a rabbit. I have had a horse in the past and have worked with other farm animals previously, and I haven't met an animal yet that I am not comfortable caring for. I provide home visits and dog-walking, as well as live-in housesitting services for multiple-day vacations. I spent almost 3 years working for a private pet-sitting company, serving clients who preferred a lax style of care to clients whose needs were specific and strict. I prefer to follow the owner's lead with my style of sitting, as I like to make not only the pet's experience personal, but the client's experience personal as well. I love taking pictures of the pets that I sit for and will routinely send updates via text and photo the entire time you are away.

Olivia was wonderful. Being gone for a longer trip, I was worried about how everyone would adjust. It was like I didn't exist anymore. The cats and Poppy seemed like they didn't even want me to come home! It was clear when I returned that everyone got the TLC that I give to them. Olivia did a great job, and I cannot recommend her enough. It was so nice to be able to leave with that peace of mind.
Olivia was dependable and professional and kind. She went above and beyond by taking my dog to the vet when she got sick during her stay. My dog misses her already!!
Olivia was great!! She came to meet our pups and they instantly loved her. She sent us pictures and assured us all was well.
Olivia was great with our two giant dogs and cat when we needed someone for the weekend. We had some flight issues, and she was incredibly accommodating with our changing itinerary. We certainly plan to use her again!

A typical day
I will cater to every dog's specific needs. I will take your pet to the park as you request, and for walks as you request. As I typically stay with pets in their own home as opposed to boarding in my home, each pet's experience will be unique and tailored towards their usual routine and comfort zone- I prefer to keep pets safe, happy, and healthy in their home environment to cut down on anxiety while their parents are away. I have had dogs for most of my life, and have worked with other people's dogs for many years. I understand that some dogs have special needs, from aggression to conditions that require medication. I am comfortable taking on special needs pets, and I will do everything I can to ease the worry of a pet owner that has a special needs fur baby. The time I am able to spend with your pet will depend on my work schedule. I will do everything I can to work around my schedule, and I will only accept a job caring for your pet if I know that I will be able to provide specific care despite my full-time status with other employment. I get my schedule a month in advance, so usually I will have a good idea of what my time table will look like.
