Pet care experience
I have been caring for dogs of all kinds since I was quite young. My family has always had dogs and we have fostered shelter dogs while they awaited forever homes. I speak to dogs in a soothing tone and only use a strict tone when necessary. I buy healthy treats for training and reward during outings. I have a semi-flexible schedule during the week with notice. I prefer morning and afternoon walks, but can do evening walks as well. I live in a house right by Monte Toyon and Nisene Marks so there are plenty of trails nearby. Dogs need companionship and exercise just like people do. I already have a few clients whom I walk dogs for and I am excited to expand my dog walking/sitting business.

Olivia was absolutely fantastic with our little Parker while we attended a wedding in Santa Cruz. We're new dog owners and nutty folks in general. Olivia was very patient with me and offered to send me updates during the entire stay. She has a great enclosed yard for the dogs to play and responsibly organized an monitored introduction with the dog in the neighboring house that shares the yard. You can tell that she loves animals and understands how to care for them. Thank you so much Olivia! If I lived in the area I would be grateful to have Olivia continue to keep an eye on our dog during our absence.

Before sitting a dog, I would like to know what he or she likes to do for fun and where they like to be walked. I also would like to be aware of any dietary restrictions, any issues with other animals, any specific commands, daily grooming needs, and whether or not the dog is allowed on the furniture.
A typical day
Typically, I take dogs to the beach or on a well-groomed trail for walks. When going to the beach or park, I bring tennis balls for fetch and a rope for tug-o-war. There are a multitude of dog friendly trails all around where I live. When the weather is a bit too wet for the beach/trail I walk dogs along walking paths. At home, toys are ready to be played with! When nighttime comes, I put on movies like Brother Bear and Air Bud to watch with the dogs.
