Walks and wags at our Medford pad!

Pet care experience

I have owned and rescued dogs for over two decades, both in the US and abroad. I am currently completing my PhD, which means I work from home every day. My spouse and I live on the first floor of a large house with a back yard. We are very close to the green and dog-friendly Tufts campus and the Mystic River reservation. You can rest assured that I will make your dog's wellbeing my priority, not simply because it is a "service", but because I see caring for animals as something of a calling. Your pet will be in good hands! * Are you going out of town in May and need a sitter who will take good care of your pet, as well as your house? I would love to be that person, so don't hesitate to contact me! (longer stays preferred)

Olivia watched our Cavalier King Charles spaniel, Daisy, in our home for 12 days and her care was fantastic! At our first meeting, we knew that Olivia would be kind and gentle with our Daisy. Olivia was generous with photographing Daisy, sending the pictures to us daily, and keeping in touch frequently. Olivia and Daisy went on long walks to the beach and Daisy even went in the water one day (we received a video of our mer-dog)! We know that our companion dog was loved and cared for just as if we had taken care of her ourselves, and it was a great relief to have her cared for by someone who loved her just as much as we do. We plan to hire Olivia again in the future, and highly recommend her dog-sitting services to anyone. Thank you, Olivia (and Daisy says she misses you)!

The BEST! Olivia is wonderful. In fact, your dog may have a better time than you while on vacation! Caring, thoughtful, thorough......the best! Thank you, Olivia.

Olivia was a great sitter for my senior dog, Wrigley. He has special needs due to his heart condition, which requires medicine 2x daily and he also needs eye drops daily. He also needs frequent potty breaks due to his meds. This was no problem for Olivia and she sent me regular picture updates on how he’s doing and the fun adventures she took him on. I wouldn’t hesistate to have Olivia watch Wrigley again!

Olivia is a great sitter and immediately bonded with Baxter. He was very excited to see her again on his second visit.

Information Olivia B. would like to know about your pet

The most important things I would like to know are the dog's age, and whether the dog has any dietary restrictions and/or medical issues that I should be aware of. I would also like to know a bit about the dog's personality - what, if anything at all, might set the dog off while out on a walk. I have sat dogs who were afraid of things from thunder to police sirens. While I am more than capable of managing even a scared animal, it is useful to know what the dog's triggers are, so I can best avoid them and keep the pet as stress-free as possible!

A typical day

I live within walking distance from the green banks of the Mystic River, a great place for walks, long and short! Another good place for walks is the Tufts campus, where dogs are very welcome, as they always manage to put a smile on students' faces. Many people don't understand just how essential exercise is for a dog's physical and emotional wellbeing - I do. I receive such satisfaction from seeing a dog falling asleep after a good, long walk!
