Home full-time - One dog at a time
Pet care experience
I have been around and taking care of dogs for over 40 years. I got my first dog, Daika the dachshund, when I was 6 years old and have since "entertained" dogs of all sizes: Be it pet-sitting my parent's retriever and my neighbor's German shepherd or just walking a friends poodle during lunch. Since I retired from my job in the software industry last year and became a stay-home dad, I enjoy spending more time with dogs again. I like to walk dogs on grass and fields, play chase and tackle and spend time with them on the floor. I'm patient and adjust to the dog's character and abilities. We currently don't have a dog or other pets ourselves since we spend 1-2 months every summer with family in Europe. We also don't take on more than one dog at a time, so there will be no conflicts and we can focus fully on your dog and make sure he/she has a great time!

We have an extremely shy Havapoo, and I was very nervous about leaving her to go away for 11 days this February. We've used a kennel several times for short overnights in the past, but she hates it-- trembles like crazy when we leave her. I'm so grateful to have found Olaf and his family. Mylie has spent one night there and the family made every effort for her comfort. I feel confident that our sweet little pet will not just be fed, but lovingly cared for . A special thank you to Olaf's young daughter for helping Mylie get comfortable so quickly!:) Even my 11-yr.-old says she feels much better about leaving Mylie because we know where she'll be!
Olaf was great with my dog and kept me updated during his stay. He sent pictures multiple times to show me how my dog was doing. Will use again.
Olaf and his family were amazing! It was the first time I’ve left my dog (Ava) with a sitter and couldn’t of been with a better family. Olaf sent regular updates with play and nap times and kept in regular contact throughout the stay. I would definitely recommend, thanks Olaf!
A fabulous stay for our dog Lola! Wonderful communication and photos from Olaf and his family who all embraced and cared so wonderfully for our dog, we are so pleased, thank you Olaf! Highly recommended, we plan to use Olaf again soon!
