Zoey is a very active dog, so I am always nervous about her interacting with new people. However, she was taken by Nyerah almost immediately. Nyerah welcomed her playfulness and wanting for attention. Zoey had a great time playing with her dog as well, I could tell she loved being there. I received picture updates and I was very thankful that she kept Zoey on the same schedule while reinforcing the training we have been working on. We will definitely be back!

My experience with Nyerah is two fold. First I want to begin by saying Nyerah is a kind thoughtful person who cares deeply for dogs. When I dropped my dogs off, she spoke to them with a gentle tone and they were very comfortable when I left them. My dogs Aubrey and Brandy have stayed overnight and sometimes weeks with other care providers and I felt that with Nyerah they were in good hands. During their three night stay I received two pictures which was fine as I mentioned to Nyerah that she didn’t have to send me a plethora of pictures. When I picked up my dogs Brandy was fine. However, Aubrey wasn’t his usual rambunctious self. Both of my dogs, their vests, leashes and carry bag reeked of what smelled like marijuana. On the ride home Aubrey whimpered in the back seat and vomited several times. He was also unusually gassy. When we arrived home that evening, Aubrey was in extreme pain. When he used the bathroom his stool was dark green and watery. His diarrhea continued to worsen and he wouldn’t stop vomiting. He refused to eat or drink the next morning so I took him to the vet. Aubrey had a diagnostic exam and was tested for Giardia and his test came back negative. His vet gave him a Antiemetic Cerenia Injection as well as a five day supply of Metronidazole. It’s been two days and Aubrey symptoms haven’t improved. I was told to bring him back if he hasn’t made progress after a week. To Nyerah’s credit she was very honest when I asked her if she smoked around my dogs. I appreciated her candor as I questioned whether or not Aubrey may have ingested anything without her knowledge. I am satisfied with the care she provided to both of my dogs and to date Brandy isn’t ill. I truly believe Aubrey’s illness was an isolated incident and this should not prevent anyone from hiring Nyerah to puppy sit for them. As for Rover’s guarantee, the pet parent is responsible to pay the deductible prior to being reimbursed for any medical expenses. The pet provider is only responsible for the deductible if the cost of the stay is greater than the medical expense.
