During the school year, I am a 5th grade special education teacher in Northbrook, IL and love working with special needs children. I have been doing this over 32 years. Over the summer I play with my own pets. I currently own a 1 year old named Amanda, a a 2 year old named Shelby,and a 3 yeat old named Dixie who are all rescues. I also have two cats named Jake and Teagan. I am also a foster mother for dogs and love when they find their forever home. I grew up owning dogs of all different sizes and breeds. I love cats just as much as dogs, which is why I own both. I have taken sick cats and rescue dogs into my house and cared for them. I also love taking care of my friend's pets when they go on trips. I am very organized, detail orientated, kind, and loving to all animals large or small. I am also very patient and love long walks. One of my cats had kidney disease for many yeara and I had to give him fluids in the nape of his neck, twice a week. When he passed away I was devastated and miss him dearly. So, I am very comfortable administering medications to any animal. I take care of several cats who have diabetes. I not only understand the needs of kids, but I love caring for animals .
