Norma’s care of my pup was fine. She is a very nice person, and my dog (Myron) came home happy and healthy, and that is what matters. That said, I don’t think her care of my pet lived up to the hype of the other reviews and the ‘star-sitter’ rating. Here is why: Norma is gone for long periods during the day. She stated on her profile that, during the school year, she works away from home, so I guess that is kind of on me, but I guess I thought that if I booked within her availability that she would be around most of the time. That is not the case. She is gone for around 10 hours during the daytime, and has other people/services come to give the dogs potty breaks. My booking was Thursday thru Saturday, so I thought “at least Myron will get more time out of his crate to play on Saturday, but I came to find out that Norma had planned to be 45 minutes away with a friend for the entire afternoon and into the evening. Thankfully I arrived back in town a few hours early so that Myron only had to be crated part of the time. To Norma’s credit, she accommodated my request to have Myron brought back to my place on her way out of town. Aside from this, on the day I left town, Norma messaged me to ask if he could be brought to her at the early part of the drop-off window so that she could leave for work. This is how I learned that she would not be with him during the day. It was not a great early impression. I am also not sure how many other dogs she had, but I could hear them barking at drop off. Myron is a pretty quiet dog, and does not really like when other dogs bark loudly around him. Normally mentioned that he simply sat quietly while the other dogs were barking. I was left feeling a little sad for my pup. Bottom line: I dislike giving bad reviews…and I don’t think this is a really bad review, but it is definitely not raving positive. It was just …passable. Probably not a great fit for Myron in the future.
