It’s super important to know as much as possible about a pet beforehand, especially when it comes to their medical conditions, allergies, and behavioral triggers. The last thing I’d want is to accidentally give them something they’re allergic to or put them in a situation that causes stress or reactivity. Knowing if they have anxiety around certain noises, don’t get along with other dogs, or have any past trauma helps me keep them comfortable and safe. Plus, understanding any medical needs ensures I can respond properly if something comes up. It’s all about setting them up for a happy, stress-free experience!
A typical day
I’m all about keeping pets both mentally and physically engaged. We’ll go on adventurous walks, explore new scents, and maybe even try some agility exercises if they’re up for it. Brain games are a must—puzzle toys, treat scavenger hunts, and obedience drills disguised as fun. If they love to play, we’ll have epic tug-of-war battles or fetch marathons. Every pet is different, so I’ll tailor the activities to what excites them most while keeping them active, happy, and mentally sharp!

Pet care experience
Growing up surrounded by a variety of animals has given me a deep understanding of their care, behavior, and needs. Over the years, I have had the privilege of caring for a diverse range of animals, including canines, equines, goats, reptiles, and arachnids. My current "fur family" includes four dogs—Emma and Levi (Border Collies), Strauss and Mazi (Belgian Malinois)—as well as two cats, Ferb (Domestic Shorthair) and Phineas (Domestic Longhair), and two horses, Chester (Quarter Horse x Belgian Cross) and Maggy (Thoroughbred). Throughout my life, I have gained hands-on experience in a variety of animal care tasks, from feeding, watering, and providing exercise, to administering medical care, cleaning, and conducting regular health checks. I have also cared for animals in various settings, including on my property and in clients' homes, ensuring their well-being and comfort while their owners are away.
