I was in Mexico while Norah watched my two pups at my house. Typically my experience with other sitters has been a 1-2 happy pics per day to make me smile and know they’re loved during their time, a few walks and of course fed. I asked Norah to leave the house as clean as she found it and she did so I appreciate that because it’s stressful coming home to somebody else’s mess. She even did a couple dishes I forgot to do before I left. So I want to point out my dogs are alive and healthy but she did not walk them even one time the entire time I was gone. She said at least once I week, I asked if she could do a couple times for about 20 min… my dogs have a doggy door and I pay somebody to pick up the poo every Sunday before trash day so her job was pretty easy…. But she was gone for up to 13 hours at a time before just coming and leaving again…my dogs are not used to that type of limited human interaction. The pictures I got were from above them while they ate meals until I asked for something more fruitful and I got a couple but then they stopped. She said she didn’t walk them because of rain but with them having a doggy door, they’re already tracking the outside into the house all day and it was not pouring down rain when I was gone. I have 6 exterior cameras, friends and family and a weather app…I told her I was very nervous because I usually hire sitters from referrals and I had intended on rehiring her for 2 weeks in June but not after this. I guess I will be much more firm in the future. To expect to just feed them and leave them all the time is not my hope. But! If you just need something fed and checked on without walks or the need for pictures then she will be perfect for the task.

Norah took good care of our cats over an extended weekend.
