Pet care experience
My passion is caring for senior or special needs dogs - which means I have a lot of experience with a lot of situations! I've fostered for animal shelters and rescues, and have cared for dogs with diabetes requiring insulin, neurological deficits, history of brain injury, and end-stage renal disease, to name a few. Then, of course, I've provided care to healthy, rambunctious pups of all ages, and feline friends as well.

Nora is amazing! Before she ever watched our pets (2 dogs and a cat), Nora came out for a house visit, and attentively listened to every nuance and quirk of our pets that we could think of. Every visit, she has sent pictures and videos of how everyone is doing. This is fun for us to see, but also a relief because we noticed immediately how relaxed and happy our pets looked with her. The most remarkable thing for us has been the striking change in our dogs when we come home. One of our dogs suffers from pretty severe separation anxiety and had been panicked by the time we’d get home from a short weekend trip. This would, of course, stress everyone else out and it would usually take a day to return to ‘situation normal.’ Now, when we come home, it’s like we never left! The dogs greet us as though it were any other day, and have been content and relaxed. This is a HUGE and very welcome change to us - and we have to credit Nora for her amazing, attentive care and attention to detail with them. She truly is the next best thing to us being home with them ourselves.
What can I say about Nora? Kind, caring, and responsible barely scratches the surface. Nora is simply wonderful. She has looked after my beloved cat many times when I’ve had to leave town over the past few years, and it’s always such an immense relief to know that Nora is taking care of my little guy while I’m gone. She treats him — and my house, for that matter — like they are her own. Such peace of mind is priceless. Trust me: you want Nora. ...Uh, just not when I’m out of town, please, because I’d be lost without her!

A typical day
I take my feedback from the pets (and input from you too, of course)! Some like a couple friendly pats on the head before bedtime, some like to fetch all day, and other fall somewhere in between. I'm comfortable with various energy levels.

Availability
I'm pretty flexible and can accommodate short notice most of the time. Just ask! I work full-time so easiest hours are the early morning or evening blocks. But I also have the ability to leave work around lunchtime to go check on your pet.
