I was mother to a Shar Pei for 7+ years until I started working full-time and getting my masters. I decided he'd be happier in retirement with my parents to keep them company and give them some security in their retirement home. While a dog mom, I taught him how to jump through a hula hoop, lay down, roll over and when to go to his bed. He hated baths and I was the only one who could convince him into the bath tub. I fostered a Terrier chihuahua for about 4 months because the owners son was allergic so the dog could no longer live in their home. I cared for the dog until I could find him a loving home and kept the previous owner updated with photos and videos of the dog. I also have 6+ years babysitting and tutoring kids and I'm a plant mom which means I care and am responsible with all living beings. I've even been called the "Child Whisperer" because kids tend to gravitate towards me. The animals enjoy being around me and I thoroughly enjoy being with them. My time with animals is therapeutic for me, they make me smile and give me energy so I value all the time I get to be around them.
