I’m a freelance legal professional who loves animals. I grew up as a cat parent but would frequently take care of my aunt’s pack of 10+ dogs, most of whom were rescued from the streets of Puerto Rico. In 2013, I had the chance to become a mother to Raphy, a 2-year old rescue from Paws Chicago whose training quickly became my hobby. In 2018, I relocated with my spouse to Mishawaka and it was then that we were able to become parents to Rita, a 5-year old rescue from the Humane Society of St. Joseph Cty. and Raphy’s (now 8) energetic sister. Raphy and Rita have bonded beautifully and they are both enjoying a life full of fun, structure, and love! Having spent over 8 years in Chicago, I am still adjusting to my new lifestyle in Mishawaka and I’ve realized how much my dogs and I have been supporting each other throughout this whole process. I have rediscovered my love of dog training and I see Rover as an opportunity to continue to grow as an animal caretaker so more pets can thrive and give back to their families and communities as much as my own dogs have.
