Animal Care with Integrity & 💕

Pet care experience

If want your babies -or ‘animal companions’ 😼🐶 to be more than just fed, walked, & occasionally pet/played with….then you want me. I take care of all animals as if their life & happiness depends on it…because it does. I keep my eyes & ears on your beloved pooch & our surroundings @ all times, especially during outings, & I make sure each animal I care for gets an abundance of love & attention on top of fulfilling their basic care needs.

Noel did a great job of caring for our crew as always! She is extra attentive to their needs and they love the extra TLC she gives them.

Noel was amazing! She’s very thorough, follows all instructions, and sends plenty of cute photos. There was no doubt that she could take care of Dusty. :)

Noel was super helpful and communicative. She even added a few extra visits when we needed them.

Safety, trust & environment

I have many years of experience taking care of puppies, senior animals, rescues w/unknown backgrounds, - basically ANY cat or dog. Whether it be a form of anxiety or other behavioral issue, diabetes or other medical condition, an inexplicable phobia or just a need for high levels of intense exercise….I can handle it. And we’ll have a great time! I can administer most meds, make sure senior animals & ones who require special attention are comfortable/monitored closely. I’m also ’well-versed’ in puppy care. I know they require a lot of work! I’m prepared for (very) early morning (& frequent) potty breaks, am familiar with crate training, good with (basic) puppy training; teaching commands, leash-training, etc; depending on the individual puppy, I can do whatever you need. I understand the importance of following the owner’s instructions in every area (food, play, etc). I’m experienced with every age, from extremely young to very senior pets. We can interact (or not!) with other pets/people during our time together- I have a dog-friendly car & am willing to go to parks, water, anywhere you feel is good for them (Putah Creek, Sniff Spot, dog parks, etc.) I’m willing to discuss anything you may request to make your animal companion(s) happy while you’re away.

Information Noel S. would like to know about your pet

I’d like to know as much as you can tell me, to be honest, but first-the basics: Diet, Exercise, any allergies/meds, general behavior, if they can be left alone & for how long (not that I plan on leaving them often or maxing out the time, but things do come up) I’s like (need) to know how they are around other dogs/people (kids/cats) etc. while on a leash. Also, are they are allowed off-leash, & where? Are they ‘dog-aggressive’ or reactive in any way, & how do YOU handle it? Are there ANY unique behaviors to watch out for (e.g. do they have a habit of eating things not meant for consumption (socks) , counter-surfing, escaping through a fence in the backyard that doesn’t latch properly or workers have access to, etc. Do they have any triggers, quirks, is there anything they really don’t like, or frightens them...(loud noises, being touched on top of their head, small children running) I’d also like to know what they LOVE-their ‘happy place’, whether it be long walks, playing fetch, sunbathing, swimming, favorite toys, snuggles, what commands they know, & what they/you may need or want to work on. Whatever you think I need to know to best care for them, keep them safe, & happy & we’ll take it from there. I have a very ‘easy going’ attitude, but I take animal care very seriously. I’ve been doing this for a long time, & I’ve made a lot of mistakes, mostly in the beginning. But I learned from them all, & thankfully no animals were hurt in the process. I’ll always ask if I don’t know something rather than just assume to avoid ‘looking stupid’.

A typical day

I love being active, so we’ll play fetch/chuck-it if they like that….@ the closest park, IF possible. I love long walks/jogs on green belts, or in/around any of the beautiful parks, we can go to the Arboretum, Putah Creek if they love swimming/ water/adventure, maybe book a ‘Sniff Spot’ if they need outdoor play time & dog parks aren’t their thing (& you don’t have a large fenced-in yard) I don’t usually leave Davis often except to go to Putah Creek or Grasslands (dog) Park; just not when Foxtails are in season/bad! Wherever you live, there’s probably a green belt &/or park close by, but if not we can drive wherever they want to go. My car is dog-friendly so the possibilities are endless. I have seat covers & I expect small ‘accidents’ or unexpected things to happen (little mishaps in the car - not car accidents!?) I drive VERY CAREFULLY, & I’m extra cautious of foxtails on outings. I always do a ‘paw check’ during & after the walk, & am aware of my surroundings, always. Especially bikers!

I’m dedicated to taking care of your furry loved ones. I love being able to focus most of my time/effort on your dogs/cats/turtles/chickens, etc. I don’t have another job to run off to, or a family (hubby/kids) so I’m all yours (& theirs!). My animal clients ARE my life. I have the opportunity to work (remotely) if I need to; I can work as little (or as much) as I like…but lately I haven’t had to. I’d rather spend my time with the awesome dogs & cats people hire me to care for. I get to do what I love & I live simply. I have goals; I spend my ‘spare’ time researching grad schools/programs, as I’m getting ready to start applying for the fall 2024 semester. Rover isn’t something I do ‘on the side’ for ‘extra cash’. Animal care is my full-time job right now, & has been for the past 5+ years. I love it. Most of my clients are regulars, & were obtained on my own through networking/referrals. I started before joining Rover; It WAS supposed to be part-time until grad school. Then COVID happened, & I didn’t want to go to school online…so all of my energy went into animal care, & I joined Rover. Best decision I’ve made in years. I love being able to help people & animals. Clients have confided in me about not-so-great experiences they’ve had with sitters right before they met me. It’s sad, but I’m happy to be able to renew their faith in this system. There are GOOD SITTERS out here. Yes, you may have to weed through a few bad apples bit… People are looking for dependable, honest, (animal) educated professionals to care for their pets, & I love that I can proudly say I am one of them. And if I can fit you in my schedule, I will! I know firsthand how nerve-wracking it can be when you’re going away (or even working long hours) & need someone to take care of your babies. You go online to hopefully find (essentially) a stranger to entrust with your animals & your home….it can be scary. But it’s necessary. People need other people, & the animals need our help. I’m dedicated to the welfare of your pets & maintaining your home while you’re away. I have integrity. I’m not a snoop. I don’t care what’s in your house. I only care about their/your needs. Your animals will be safe, fed/watered, exercised, petted, brushed, medicated, etc. LOVINGLY cared for. Connected with. Showered with affection. I bond with my animal (& sometimes people) clients, so when a ‘job’ is over, I’m almost always sad to go! Thankfully, I get to see a lot of them again & continue to build a loving, trusting relationship. Like I said, a lot of my business is word of mouth/referrals, but I love being on Rover. They have connected me with many wonderful clients over the years. I’ve cared for hundreds of dogs & cats. I love meeting new people, & helping them find care for their beloved pets. I know my services are needed, & I want to help as many animals as I can. As long as the request is within my service radius, I have the availability & you understand that ‘you get what you pay for’…I guarantee you’ll love me. Unfortunately I’ve had to raise my rates (due to the higher cost of everything) & thankfully, my services are still in high demand. You don’t want the cheapest-you want the best, for the price. That’s what I offer.
