I recently moved to the islands with my dog Henry who I've cared for since 2012, when I took him in as a rescue. I've enjoyed taking him on daily walks from around the block to miles through the woods, and taken care of other dogs for family, neighbors and friends. I have been responsible for the care of many kinds of animals, having run a large urban farm for years with various livestock, cared for horses, and volunteered at wildlife clinics rehabilitating beavers, squirrels, owls and many more. I have experience giving medicine and treating injury, walking multiple dogs, and basic training.

Noah is conscientious, kind, and professional, and gave our 11 year-old labradoodle the TLC she needed while we were gone, with plenty of walks and playtime. We made it home from our 5-day trip ~ 10:30 pm and were greeted by a happy, relaxed-looking Poppy. And our house looked amazing. Noah had vacuumed our rugs, left a spotless kitchen, and had even washed the bedding & towels he used before leaving! He really went above & beyond and we’re very grateful. We would hire Noah again without hesitation. Thank you, Noah!

We have a large fenced yard shared with our dog Henry and one neighbor. Other well behaved dogs are welcome in the house with plenty of room (but pets are not allowed on furniture) and we are available to let dogs out as needed.

It's important to let me know of any special needs your pet has and any routines for meals, walks or play to try to follow. If they'll be staying here I prefer to have dogs meet beforehand to minimize stress for all.
A typical day
Although my dog is slowing down in his later years, on a good day we'll enjoy walks in nearby spots like American Camp, Mt. Finlayson, and Lime Kiln, and play fetch or tug-of-war around the house and yard.

Availability
I currently work Monday through Wednesday and am available most other times for dog walking, sitting or boarding. My partner is also available during those days in case of longer or weekday stays and can provide great care during the day.
