Let me take your pet hiking! 🐾
Pet care experience
I’ve taken care of varying dogs over the past 8 years, but have been around some my whole life! For the most part, I’ve watched over golden pups/grown dogs, but I’ve also had experience with a couple of mutts and grew up around my grandparent’s American Eskimo. In addition, I have past experience taking care of two grown goldens simultaneously for over a week, so I don’t mind boarding your pet(s) or staying in your home if that suits your pet for any length of time. Aside from the occasional walking, I believe playing with a dog is crucial! Love a good tug of war, ball and chase or a long hike with a good boy/girl! :) I love to hike in my free time either weekdays after work or weekends especially with a dog! I’ve been good about knowing when to let a dog off leash when space and hikes permit so they can roam a bit in the wild, but keep on leash in proximity to others or around unknown terrain. I also don’t mind setting up space in my vehicle for your pet when going on trips.
Reviews
Nisha is extremely reliable and trustworthy. I left her with my dog Chops for the weekend and she kept in great communication, was responsive, and caring towards my dog. She made sure to ask questions about Chops' schedule to better understand his needs. Chops looks forward to seeing her and I feel at peace of mind when Nisha watches him. 10/10 recommend!
Nisha is very kind and compassionate when it comes to animals. She is very loving and knows how to bring a joyful energy to pets. I’ve seen her with my dog and shes perfect with her.
Nisha is amazing with all animals, but especially dogs! She always goes out of the way to make sure our dog is loved, fed, entertained, and safe! She’s been walking and caring for dogs since she was little and is a natural! Highly recommend her as a dog walker to anyone !

Aside from our dog’s set up for food and water, there’s a basket full of his toys that he loves to play with, and our doors are usually left open so he can roam around with more space available to him. We don’t keep any plants that are harmless to dogs and are careful about what he consumes. I also make sure to close the toilet seat and turn away the trash so the dog cannot get into any of those areas, but usually keep my bathroom door closed. Pets are welcomed on our furniture, our floors are wooden, and we have a small balcony we’ll occasionally open in case your pet needs some fresh air. We vacuum and clean the apartment pretty regularly, so dog hair isn’t an issue!

If your dog isn’t potty-trained, adversely reacts to other pets, or shouldn’t be given treats and only specific kind of meal food, please let me know ahead of time!
A typical day
Hiking is almost a guarantee! If your dog isn’t much of a hiker, I’ll be certain to take him or her on a nice nature walk at the least. I live in Harbor Point area of Stamford, CT so it’s occasionally nice to walk by the water or the surrounding dog parks. For a bit outside of my range, I sometimes go to Mianus River Park for a laid back, go-to walk for dogs. Our dog loves the water so he’s always enjoying the streams along the way! :) More often than not, mostly on the weekends though, I like to go hiking in the surrounding New York and Hudson Valley area for longer hikes with varying terrain. When I’m at home, I love playing tug of war with a dog and a pull toy and we have plenty!

Availability
My schedule is somewhat flexible since I work remotely 2 days a week but have the choice of which days to do so. Fortunately, my workplace is in Greenwich, CT and only about 15 minutes from my apartment in the case where I am boarding your pet during a week and if it is ever necessary to come back for any reason! Since my work isn’t too demanding or inflexible due to meetings, I am capable of devoting much time to take care of your pet even during a weekday/work hours.
