I spent that past year walking and handling the dogs at the NKLA facility in Los Angeles which is run by the Best Friends Animal Society. Best Friends is the largest Animal Rescue in the United States. You might know them from their rehabilitation and rescue of Michael Vick's fighting dog ring. NKLA is nationally renowned facility-- I spent my time there walking and helped to prepare the adoptable dogs for their forever homes. The few years past that I was a private dog walker in Los Angeles. I had many clients and it was my sole income. I walked and cared for dogs of all sizes from my favorite little chi-pom to a big ol' mastiff. I have administered insulin to cats and have administered oral medication to dogs. Before that, I worked at a luxury dog hotel in San Francisco. I had just graduated from San Francisco State University with my BS in Dietetics/Nutrition. Despite just getting a super cool degree, I found my true passion with animals. Now 10 years later, I'm in the process of getting my Veterinary Technology degree at New England Institute of Technology.
