Pet care experience
Hi, I'm Nina! As a passionate lover of animals and a dedicated fur mom to a rambunctious pup and kitten of my own, I know how hard it is to leave your companions behind, even if it's only for the work day! Rest assured that they’ll receive the best care possible while you’re away. Your pet’s comfort and health is my top priority! || My Services || I am available for: - Dog Walking/Running/Hiking - At-Home Visits - Medicine Administration - Grooming - Trick Practice || My Experience || I have owned and worked with dogs my whole life, and I have sitting experience with breeds of all sizes, temperaments, and age groups. This includes thorough knowledge of herding breeds; I previously owned a Border Collie and am now raising an Australian Shepherd. As for cats, I spent several years cat sitting for local neighbors, and within the past year, I finally adopted one of my own! Currently, we live in a house with three other feline friends, too, so I've become quite well-versed in all the quirks of cat care. In terms of medicine administration, I am able to assist with oral and topical medications on both cats and dogs. || My Process || - For all new clients, I prefer to schedule a Meet & Greet prior to the requested service. This provides the opportunity to meet both you and your pet to ensure everyone is comfortable with each other. (Please Note: in the case that a Meet & Greet is not possible, particularly with current COVID-19 restrictions, I am able to be flexible!) - Walks and runs will all be fulfilled in your local neighborhood unless otherwise requested. If you'd prefer your dog to be walked at a different location, please let me know! I'm well-versed in road trips with a canine companion, and I would be happy to be their chauffeur (where they will be safely and securely fastened in the back seat at all times). - As an avid hiker, I'd be thrilled to bring your dog to one of our many local state parks so they can explore the trails! While ticks are becoming less of a concern now that the weather grows colder, a tick check will still be performed at the conclusion of the walk to make sure your pet isn't bringing a new buddy home with them. - All items and surfaces touched during walks and drop-in visits will be carefully sanitized. Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions!
Reviews
I have known Nina for 4 years, and I couldn't recommend anyone more than her for dog sitting! She had a dog in her family growing up, and she was responsible for helping with his training and general care. She currently has a puppy that she goes above and beyond for in terms of care. Frequent walks, training, scheduled meal times, and lots of play and attention! She has good command of animals without being aggressive, and doesn't take risks when around other people or dogs. She is meticulous when it comes to following directions down to the finest detail, and won't hesitate to ask a question if clarification is needed. Overall she's the perfect candidate for dog sitter, and she'll take amazing care of your pets!
Nina understands that different breeds have different needs, and individual animals have different personalities within those breeds. Watching her with her own dog is an experience in learning how to communicate effectively with another creature, based on mutual trust and understanding. I highly recommend her, and trust her with my own animals without hesitation. If there's an issue, I know she can handle it in a safe, caring, and fun way, and in a way consistent with how I care for my own animals (which is one less them for me to worry about). I know any animal in her care is getting the attention and care that they deserve.
Was very responsible, friendly, punctual, and experienced! Would recommend to anyone using this service. 10 out of 10 ! Thanks again for all of your hard work.
