Hello there my names Nikole, I am joining Rover to be a pet sitter and couldn't be more excited! I think this experience will help me learn new strategies and techniques, not only for dog care, but socialization for animals. I am wanting to become a pet sitter because I believe I possess the qualities it takes to take care of people's pets. Some things I appriciate include compassion, good routine and just being a caring/ loving person! Some past experience I have with dog care is watching family pets, my family loves their pups and I have always had dogs in my home until now. Cleaning and caring for dogs is something I'm used as well as walks and companionship. Making sure owners are always up to date on what their pets are doing and any changes is a must for me, keeping good communication like phone calls if a pup is acting differently or their actions are concerning. I believe I am a highly attentive person and pay a lot of mind to my surroundings so keeping your pup safe would be a top priority. I live in a two bedroom apartment that has a fully fenced dog park just outside my front door. We have pet friendly furniture and hope most pets are well potty trained. Our home is a very inviting place, you can feel the love when you walk in the door I'd like to think, I also have two little girls and a wonderful fiance who will be present during pet visits and stays. We are also hoping for dogs who are friendly and used to small children around. We do not have a pup of our own but we do have a cat Charlie who keeps to himself most days and came from a home full of dogs so I think he's pretty used to them.
