Hi my name is Nick. I volunteered at a dog shelter in Salt Lake City for one year and was able to gain a great deal of knowledge in dog behavior both large and small, in a variety of situations. I've since put this expertise to tangible use with the two dogs I have at home. I'm very much looking forward to walking your pooches and giving them all the love and time they deserve.

We have two herding dogs that have some reactivity issues, which means we have a lot of rules. We’re always a little nervous to leave our dogs with anyone who is not familiar with them because we have a particular way of managing their issues. Nikolas made us feel confident that our dogs were in very capable hands. Our dogs immediately felt comfortable around him, even our heeler who is often very picky of his humans. Nikolas asked the right questions and was very by the book and professional, which felt  reassuring after some of our previous experiences with dog sitters.  His communication was great, we received daily texts and photos, he was very respectful and caring with our dogs and our home. I’m pretty sure our dogs didn’t even miss us while we were gone and were disappointed to see us return. We definitely plan on hiring Nikolas again. -Nervous Helicopter Parents.
Nik loves being with dogs. He loves my lab and my lab loves, loves, loves him. Nik takes her out on walks around the neighborhood, to the local dog parks and even on hikes in the Gorge! He pays attention to the essentials (food, water, pooping, peeing) and well as the particulars (mood, exercise, naptime, treats) and makes sure she is taken care of. I have had to leave town on several occasions and leave my baby in his hands. He has dogs and knows how hard it is to be away from them. My mind is at ease when she is with him and he will send updates letting me know all is well. Nik is amazing!

I love to go on walks and be as active as possible with them. I can also chill and cuddle on the sofa while giving your dog lots of affection.

Availability
I currently work about 25 hours a week, Thursday-Sunday. I also have a toddler at home so I do have Papa duties throughout the week.
