I grew up with a Westie and was always a fan favorite of my friends' dogs, which really formed me into the dog lover that I am today. I am very good with dogs who have previously been rescued and haven't had good experiences with new people. I know that half of a dog's reception to you is based on the vibes that you willingly give off, and the other half is their intuition to your true nature. (I think that's what makes them so special.) I currently have a cat, a Tortie named Kit. She had previously been a neighborhood stray before we moved in and within two months, she had chosen us as her family. She is an indoor/outdoor cat who is potty trained. I don't joke -- she tells us when she wants to go outside and we let her out. Never has she once had an accident inside. She is the first cat I've ever had, as I've only had dogs up until now, but I'm quickly learning how much I've been missing out. My favorite thing is taking dogs for a walk in new places and, if they are comfortable, taking them to a dog park!
