I grew up with two golden retrievers, and learned what it means to care for a puppy and a full grown dog. I helped take care of them until I was 18 when I left home for college. Losing both Goldens before I left home was a hard experience, but also a lesson in learning to never take our four-legged friends for granted. Our time with them is so fleeting, and they give us so much love in that time. I’m very much a dog person and love spending time with them any chance I get. I never grew up with cats (I’m mildly allergic), but I still love them, especially if they want to snuggle! :) My allergies with cats are not serious, I can take allergy medicine to counteract it. So I would be happy to do drop-in visits for cats if given the chance! Throughout college and my adult years, I’ve cared for, walked, and house sat for many puppers (check out the gallery). I have cared for puppies, elderly dogs and any other dog in between. My parent’s elderly dog (white wolf pupper in pictures) had become more high maintenance in his later years, and so I helped to care for him much of the time. Unfortunately we lost him in January 2020 :( Throughout 2022 I helped my parents care for and train their new golden puppy (other white pupper in pictures), and looked up many different resources on how to intentionally train a puppy. Later on I stayed with a friend for a while and helped her train her new puppy as well! (Fluffy black bernedoodle in pictures). She was out of town for a bit, which gave pupper and I the opportunity to work on training with just the two of us. We trained, played, ran around and snuggled, overall a great time :) I don't own my own dog due to the cost of care, and someday I hope to care for my own companion. For now I very much enjoy caring for other dogs and the companionship that comes with it. I plan to give your dogs the love and care they deserve (which is all the love!). Whether it's spending time with them at home, or taking them for a walk or hike, your furry family member will surely be in good hands.
