Pet care experience
I currently work for a local animal rescue, and have just become a certified Family Dog Mediator (r). I am also finishing up my dog training apprenticeship with 350 hours of training. I have volunteered and worked with animals since I was in high school and my first job was at a vet clinic working as a kennel attendant where I was responsible for caring for 10 - 20 dogs of various temperaments per shift. I have been fostering puppies and kittens with OK Humane since October of 2019. Most importantly, I love dogs of all types and know that it takes patience to understand each new dog that comes my way. Feel free to ask me about any training needs, as well! Nikki is an amazing pet sitter! She is the only one I trust to watch my 5 inside cats and our hedgehog for a week at a time when our family is on vacation! She sometimes will not only do check in visits but we have allowed her to stay at our home through the night and has left everything in pristine condition every time! You want someone who truly cares about not only your animals but also your home when needing someone to watch long term Nikki is the perfect animal sitter. She learned my Hedgehogs routine also on food eating as they eat differently each day and can remember any animals type of feeding plan. Thank you again and again for being our pet sitter!
Nikki is an amazing pet sitter! We absolutely adore her. Her love and passion for caring for and even training animals, is beyond measure. We love having Nikki watch our pets whether it be for just one evening, or a few. She even taught our sweet 4 month old (at the time) Boxer puppy how to sit on command. She takes really cute pictures and gives plenty of status updates, without even being asked to. Anyone whom is able to have Nikki care for their pets, is very lucky!
Nikki is a magnificent animal caretaker! As my former roommate, she watched my Odie numerous times when I needed to make weekend trips. I trust her completely. Not only does she love my pup (because everyone does), but my pup loves her! Nikki is very responsible. A dog owner herself, she knows and understands the essentials of doggy care-taking. But Nikki is not just an good caretaker, she is a true dog-lover! She will go beyond the necessities to ensure that your pet is comfortable, healthy, and happy. Nikki loves and cares for animals more than anyone I've ever met. Her dog Gambino is the epitome of well trained companions and they share a bond closer than most humans. I wish I could actually be a dog in hopes that I would get a sitter or caretaker as loving, considerate and careful as Nikki.

Please let me know if your dog is reactive towards other dogs, or strangers or children. I will never approach another stranger or dog but it is good to know so that I can avoid areas where other dogs may be off-leash, or I can help to redirect attention on any walks.
A typical day
I love teaching new tricks, walking around Edgemere Park or Scissortail park or near the river (some of my favorite spots), and playing fetch! I like to allow dogs to smell all the smells and get some enrichment while they are out and about. Training walks are also fun so that they can work their brain along with their body.

Availability
I am flexible on the weekdays and can do my best to work with your schedule :) On the weekends, I am unavailable. I handle dogs and cats personally or professionally every day of the week. On the weekends, I work with rescue animals at my job, and during the week, I work with dogs and people of all types at my dog training apprenticeship.
