I am a certified professional dog trainer and canine behavior consultant! I work with all types of dogs, from puppies to dogs with major fear/aggression issues. I would love to take care of your animal babies in your home while you are away. I have cared for and trained dogs, cats and horses and had a myriad of other little critters since I was a kid. I have been house/pet-sitting and boarding pets in Hawaii and California. Most of my clients are in and around Thousand Oaks, Oak Park, North Ranch, and Westlake Village. I have excellent references. I am extremely responsible and dependable so you can rest assured that your pet and home are in good hands. I understand that your pet is a loved and cared for member of your family and I will treat them with the same devoted care and affection. I am comfortable with all breeds and sizes of dogs and understand their different needs and temperaments. I have a big heart for animals and enjoy all aspects of pet care, from giving medicine to finicky kitties to being greeted with sloppy kisses and everything in between. I am active and believe in healthy living for myself and the animals I take care of. When my dog was diagnosed with cancer and given a prognosis of less than 6 months, I began making her organic homemade meals and she lived 2 & 1/2 years longer! There is power in lots of love, healthy food and good exercise. I look forward to having the opportunity to care for your pet!

Nikki is absolutely incredible. I will admit I was nervous at first - using Rover for the first time and using someone I didn’t personally know. My dogs are my children and I love and miss them endlessly even when I am gone for a few hours. So when I left out of the country for a week, I had to put my faith and trust in Nikki. She had swung by to meet our pups a month before our stay and I had a good feeling about her. She is a dog owner herself and she works with dogs for a living so I felt that she was the right choice. She absolutely was. In fact we have had dear friends watch our dogs who were not nearly as good with our pack as Nikki. Nikki sent regular updates which put my mind at ease. Being so far away I always wanted to know they were OK at the morning when they woke up and at night when they went to sleep. Two of my dogs are seniors and so there is that added stress that something may go wrong but with Nikki I felt confident and relaxed that she would provide the proper care if something bad did happen. She sent videos and pics and I knew they were happy and in excellent hands regularly! I will recommend Nikki to EVEYONE I know. Oh! And she left our house immaculate when we returned. After an almost 24 hour journey home we were exhausted and having our home feel like HOME and so clean was amazing. What an incredible woman Nikki is.

Availability
I work full time training dogs and usually have a fairly busy schedule 5 days a week. I housesit for dogs who are fairly independent and don't need someone around the house much of the day.
