My name is Nikki and I am parent of my 4 legged babies. I am a HUGE animal lover and have 3 dogs right now. I have been pet sitting for family and friends for many, many years, and have been working with Rover for about 4 years and I worked with DogVacay for about 5 years before they were merged with Rover. You can also call me a foster mom! I foster animals for a local rescue until they are adopted, so always have other dogs in my home. I am employed at a local business and work from home also. My hours vary but I will try to accommodate your schedule. We will need to set a meeting time as I only have about 15 minutes for lunch (I only get a 30 minute break). Your baby and mine will be home alone for a few hours while I am at work but I can come home at lunch for potty breaks. I babysit sometimes and children may be around to play with during the day too. My parents and brothers help me with the animal care while I am at work, so they will be around also. I do attend church services on Sunday mornings and teach in the children's class. My animals and any guest dogs would be home alone (possibly) for just a couple of hours. I usually attend first service, so I am usually gone for about 2 1/2 hours. If you need to drop off or pick up your baby, we would need to arrange a time around church. We are always searching for more friends to add to our family. Our friends can come for a short time, or feel free to stay a while. We have a ranch style house that is always animal friendly, and a large fenced back yard with dog door access where we enjoy running and playing. Our house is in a safe neighborhood and we can enjoy going for walks and visiting with neighbors at times. Please feel free to come and visit, or come stay a while. Your baby(s) will be in good hands. We look forward to meeting you! About this sitter: I am a 30+ year old woman who has lived in the same town all my life. Medical assisting was my college degree and I have worked as a medical transcriptionist for many years from home. I also work as a receptionist for a local small business. I have been an animal lover my entire life. My favorite is dogs, but just about all four legged animals make the list in a close second. Fish also make the list. Really, the only animals that I dislike are snakes. Children are another passion of mine. I babysit a lot, so there are usually children around. Teaching them to love animals and how to treat animals is important to me. Why I love dog sitting I have been a dog lover all of my life. I do not remember a time that I was not around animals. Meet my pets Right now I have three dogs of my own. I also foster animals, so there may be other friends around. About my yard I have a very large fenced in backyard. There are swings and an above ground pool for the kids, but there is still a great big area for the animals and playing ball. In the summer there are a couple of raised beds for veggies since there is a lot of sunlight in the yard. The neighbors have large trees that hang over and give shade on the sides of the yard too. My experience administering medication I am comfortable with medications. Pill or liquid is most comfortable with me, but I can give an injection if needed. I was trained as a medical assistant and I do not have any problems giving people injections, but I am still bothered when I have to give an animal an injection. I think it hurts me more than them.
